As a kid, I dreamed of becoming a soccer player. I fell in love with the sport, and my dad was an inspiration because he played it as well. I could accomplish it if I were still in Europe. It's harder to be scouted in the U.S.A. My main focus now is on neuroscience. Although I still have a passion for the sport, I don't plan on pursuing it professionally.

Get my masters then doctorate and continue caring for people until I can't anymore. I'm sure I will deal with brick walls in administration and insurance companies, however I will deal with them by fighting for what is best for my patients until they get the care that they deserve.

Ever since I was first asked what I wanted to be - the first time was probably in first grade - I always answered "a nurse!" I knew they helped people and that's what I wanted to do because they reminded me of my grandma. She always helps people no matter what. I grew up in my grandma's house. The only time I spent at my house was to sleep then off it was to my grandma's again in the morning. I loved it there, it was my safe place - it still is. For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to live there. That's still my plan - to live there. I've told my grandma this since I was like 4 - she remembers it too. I'm sure my brick wall here will be a family drama as I do have cousins who want to live there as well. I'm really not too worried about it though.

As a kid, I wanted to be a baker. I had always enjoyed helping in the kitchen at a young age. Once I was able to use the stove/ oven by myself, I started making all kinds of desserts. Since then, I still enjoy baking for other people, but just as a hobby or whenever I have time.

When I was young I was fascinated by how they make movies. Disney movies used to have these things called "bonus features" which showed how they made the movies. I would watch these a lot. I really wanted to become an animator and make movies and cartoons for Disney. I still don't know how to animate well but, Looking back I think what I really wanted was to make something that would have the audience walking away with it still on their minds long after they see it. If that makes any sense.

My dream when I was a wee lad was to be a mermaid; a vampire, a wizard and also a famous singer. I had very large dreams to tackle, but believe me I TRIED. I did spells on my legs to hopefully turn them into a fishtail, I made my parents buy me Mal's spell book so I could learn how to do magic, and I watch so many vampire movies and tv shows hoping that one day, someday, I would grow fangs. I think what this said about me is like I clang to fiction, the unlikely. I think I still do. Reality is so boring and as humans we get so caught up in patterns. Where's the fun in that? A specific dream I have is becoming an RN out of college and getting to work in the Pediatric ICU at Nemours Hospital. I can envision lots of studying, getting some bad grades, and having to learn how to interact with patients. I plan to ask for as much help as I can and create support around me for when I need it most. Being able to admit you need help is half the battle. I will work super hard to be able to achieve this dream in a few years.

My future dream is to put myself in the best position to have a successful career after college. As well as sustain the relationships I've built, while also building new ones. I think some brick walls I could encounter include struggling in college to be social or to keep my academics as high as they need to be. However, I think I will be able to get through these setbacks, as I value my relationships very much and don't see myself abandoning that feeling. I also feel strongly about doing everything I can to put myself in the best position possible, which is why I feel like I will have success in college and in my career afterwards.

When I was a kid I had this dream to create a web-shooter like in Spiderman. I've always loved Spiderman as a kid and I just loved the toy web shooters, and I thought it would be a great idea to make one myself, but one that's more realistic. Me and my dad sketched out designs for our web shooter and how it would work. I ended up obviously never making the web shooter, but this shows how creative and optimistic I was, on things that weren't really realistic. This also sparked my love for art, and design, as I continue drawing today.

I always thought city-building would be cool. Just building roads and buildings, or designing them, and creating a large urbanized area would be a fun job to have. Looking at the whole landscape with interconnected areas of roads, sidewalks, bridges, and parks and feeling proud of the design and immense size of the finished product. I always enjoyed building with Legos when I was young (and still do), and the whole concept of building and constructing to create a large product always was a thrill to me. My future dream is to do well in business for myself and for my family, but more importantly find the right person and have a great family going forward. I really want to be able to write books or add to literature/media in some fashion. While I'm the best at writing, if I can add art, games, books, movies, shows, or even comics into the world to express my imagination, it would mean the most to me and I strive each day to be able to accomplish this. Now, I recognize most of these options aren't stable for a job, and I have a job I'd rather do full time because of its' own merit. This makes time one of my biggest inhibitors, that can hopefully be surpassed with dedicated schedules or outside help for whatever medium I choose. As long as I can work with those around me and have support, I can accomplish this, and even without such a crutch, I will still try.

In the future, I plan to own my own commercial real estate development company. I want to work hard enough on my own to be able to enjoy the freedoms of wealth before I can't enjoy it anymore. I see how this dream could seem far-fetched, but I'm willing to work for it. This dream of financial independence has never really changed for me, but the idea of how it definitely has.
