I hope that when you read this letter you arewell. As I sit here and write these words in 2024, I have so many hopes and dreams for where life may take me in the next five years. Here are some of my thoughts and plans for the future.

By 2029, I will have accomplished many of my goals. I will have finished my studies and maybe in the field I am currently passionate about. I may even have started my own business or taken on a leadership role within my job

I will have traveled to new places, maybe exploring places I have always dreamed of visiting. I will have met new people and made lasting friendships along the way. These experiences will shape me into a more well-rounded and empathetic person.

In terms of personal growth, I will have continued to learn and grow. Maybe I will have taken up a new hobby or developed a new skill. I may have faced challenges, but I know I will have overcome them with resilience and determination.

Most importantly, I hope I will be happy. I hope I will look back on these years with pride and satisfaction, knowing that I have lived my life to the fullest.

Remember to always stay true to yourself, keep pushing your limits, and never stop dreaming. The future is full of endless possibilities, and I believe you will make the most of every opportunity that comes your way.

It's your 21 year old self here. This is a letter I wrote to you, five years from now. I'm writing this because I want to read about what I was afraid of back then. Hopefully by 2029, everything will be alright and I'll be happy with how things turned out.

My Worries

• I'm a bit worried about starting a new life after finishing my accounting degree.

• Will I still have time for my friends?

• Will I be successful and find a good job?

My Plans

• I'm hoping that I will be able to keep in touch with my friends and make new ones along the way.

It’s November 23, 2024, and I’m 19 years old. I don’t know if you’ll even remember writing this, but here I am, trying to capture everything I’m thinking and feeling right now. You’re reading this at 24, and I hope you’re happy, healthy, and proud of how far you’ve come.

Right now, life feels full of possibilities, but also overwhelming. I have so many plans, and honestly, I’m terrified of not achieving them. I’m trying to save enough money to start that dream business I’ve been talking about for years. Did I do it? Did we finally have the courage to leave the comfort zone and take that leap of faith?

I’m also nervous about my personal growth. I’m working on being more confident and less critical of myself. I hope by now, you’ve learned to silence that little voice of doubt in your head. Have you become the version of yourself we always dreamed of—calm, assured, and resilient?

And then there’s love. Right now, I’m still figuring things out. I wonder if you’re married, or in a relationship, or maybe still single and learning to love yourself even more. Whatever the situation, I hope you’re surrounded by people who support and inspire you.

What about friends? Right now, I have a few close ones I can count on, but I’m scared of drifting apart as life gets busier. Did we manage to stay in touch with the people who matter? Did we make new connections that helped us grow?

Oh, and don’t even get me started on traveling! I’ve always dreamed of seeing the world—Brasil, USA, Italia, so many places. Have you crossed some of those destinations off our bucket list? I hope you’ve had some breathtaking adventures and that you always made time to explore.

Here’s my advice to you: don’t forget where you came from. Remember how hard you worked and how much you dreamed. Be kind to yourself, even when things don’t go as planned. Life isn’t perfect, but it’s beautiful in its imperfections.

And one last thing—please tell me you’ve kept our promise to live boldly. Don’t let fear hold you back. Whether we succeeded or stumbled, I hope we took risks and chased after what truly mattered.

It’s November 23, and it’s 4:55 p.m. I’m 19 years old. When I read this message again, I will be 24.
I’m writing this message because I want to see how much I will have achieved and feel proud of myself.

So, what will I be doing? I’m currently studying Systems Engineering, and I will have graduated and will be working in a job I love. I will have traveled to different places. I will have my own house and my own car. I know it will take effort, but I know I will make it happen.

I wonder, will I have visited amazing places? Will I have bought my house and my car? Will I be working in the career I always dreamed of? I hope the answer is yes to everything.
