Education in the USA is based on two levels: elementary and secondary school.
Elementary school start at grade K (kindergarten) and finish at grade 6.
Secondary schools  start at grade 6 and finish at grade 12.
At  Elementary schools students learn to read, write, do arithmetic and study history , geography, art and physical education.
At secondary schools students study language and science.

Elementary school (from age 6 to 10) are not selective, it ‘z free and students do not have to pass an exam to move to the next level .

Secondary school of 1 grade (from age 11 to 14) students study 4 new school subject :art , technology , French, English ,and Latin.
Secondary school of 2 grade (from 14 to 16) the students for admission mast  pass an exam.
The school subjects vary from school to school.

Key stage 1 (age 5 to 7),
Key stage 2 (age 7 to 11)
Secondary school is divided in two key stage:
Key stage 3 (age 11 to 14),
Key stage 4 (age 14 to 16)
The types school are:
-Grammar school: are selective, admission depends on children’s aptitude and ability.
-Comprensive school: are not selective ,they provide a range of courses appropriate to all levels and ability.
-Fee- paying or private school:
are independent schools, which are not required to follow the National Curriculum,it is subject inspections.  
School subject  are english, maths and scienze ; the other subject are tecnologi, art music history, geography, P.E and computer scienze.
