What is the History of Electricity?

Technology has come a long way in the past 150 years or so. Technology started when Thomas Edison invented the first electric light bulb in 1879. He figured out that "passing electricity through a thin platinum filament in the glass vacuum bulb, which delayed the filament from melting" works. Thus the beginning of electricity. The next major technological advancement was in 1903, when the Wright brothers invented the airplane, by figuring out the physics of lift. Then over 100 years later the first iPHONE was created in 2008. These devices have become our normal way of life that people have multiple. CRISPR was invented in 2012. CRISPR edits genes and DNA with the hope to fix the problems in the human DNA. Then in 2017, Artificial Intelligence (AI) was invented by Alan Turing. AI is essentially a robot in the device. The problem is with these devices being new. They are only exposed to those who can afford it. So ultimately, these are barely accessible. Technology has developed so much, and will continue to develop throughout the coming years.

What are the human impacts of tech addiction?

The impact of technology on humans has many outcomes, with several consequences on their physical and mental health. One effect is that dull or incorrect use of tech devices can lead to a decline in cognitive ability and clarity of thought. Moreover, technology is sensitive to its environment and requires a neutral area to work efficiently. Failure to provide the right environment can reduce tech efficiency. Additionally, excessive use of tech devices such as phones and video game controllers can lead to hand cramps and eye problems, harming a person's physical health. The production of tech devices requires a considerable workforce, and although the pay and working conditions are good, the sensitivity of the technology to the environment makes it difficult to achieve efficiency. Although, the people that are in charge of sorting and recycling the materials do not have a clean workplace. They’re exposed to the toxins and chemicals, so it depends on where your job is. Overall, the impact of technology on humans calls for the need to limit the damage to their physical and mental health, by taking necessary precautions such as limits in usage and maintaining a neutral environment.

The use of technology has resulted in several unhealthy effects on the environment. The harmful gasses from factories producing tech devices and the use of unsustainable materials in their production have contributed to the pollution of the environment. Consequently, when people get rid of their phones and other tech devices, a significant amount of waste is generated, which ultimately contaminates our drinking water. The increase in electronic waste is also alarming. Moreover, people's high use of electricity while searching for entertainment has contributed to the fossil fuel industry, adding to the climate crisis. All of these problems are the effects of technology on the environment, showing how it is hurting our environment despite its benefits.

What are the economic of political impacts?

The impact of technology on the economy can be viewed as a win/lose relationship. On one hand, the high demand for tech products, including phones and other devices, is a driving force for the economy. However, this demand can also lead to negative outcomes such as a shortage of supply, which can have a ripple effect on the economy. Additionally, the trend towards subscription-based websites can have a negative impact on consumer spending, causing a decrease in overall economic activity. On the other hand, technology also creates job opportunities, accounting for roughly 20% of jobs in the United States. This has a positive effect on the economy, leading to increased production and consumer spending. The tech industry is worth roughly 5.2 trillion dollars all together. So the country who produces the most will get the most profit as a result of selling the most. The country that sells the most is China. In conclusion, the impact of technology on the economy is a complex cause and effect relationship that has both positive and negative effects on various aspects of the economy.

People and teens in particular don’t really know anything other than to just go down the rabbit hole that is social media. The issue is that people are spending their time on their screens instead of going outside or doing other things that could help their brian. Parents and other service providers can put screen time restrictions on phones and social media. This is one solution to the crisis, as it limits them in a way that isn’t forceful. People just pick up their phones, and get sucked into the rabbit hole. They can simply shut off your phone automatically if you exceed the limit. People when they pick up their phones, should think about why they’re doing it, and whether it’s worth it. If this was the case, screen time would be limited and would have no choice but to go outside. Unfortunately there are no laws against this problem of tech overuse.
