         <description><![CDATA[<div>Writing technical reports, procedures, publishing research findings, and giving presentations are the most common activities in the biomedical field. The majority of study findings are based on clinical trials, which are staged investigations involving human participants and intended to address safety and efficacy concerns about biologics, technologies, medications, new therapies, or novel applications of existing treatments. Trials are frequently started in small groups before being expanded once safety and effectiveness are shown. Although there are rare exceptions, the FDA regulates the majority of clinical trials.</div>]]></description>

Their word choice and sentence structure are quite dull and overly descriptive in attempt to communicate their findings clearly. Because there is so much to cover, biomedical engineers often categorize their study findings. They first describe the experiment. Then they discuss their methods and give visual representations of their work. Finally, they move on to describe their findings. These reports must be written thoroughly enough to be used as the basis for another experiment.</div>]]></description>
