We the reader can trust what the narrator is telling because, alcohol abuse can change your balance and your behavior but him admitting that he has a change in his behavior shows that he knows its due to that issue. One thing that can dramatically change ones personality to change is alcohol abuse.

no we can not trust what the narrator tells us. We cant trust the narrator because from what we know he has an alachol drinking problem so what he is telling us could be a lie because hes probably not thinking right or hes not in the right mind at the moment. alcohol use could cause somones personality to change dramatically.

I don't think we can trust what he says. Maybe a little bit but if we met him in real life I think we would be able to tell. I do not think we can trust him because he does all this crazy stuff that normal people would not do.

I do not think we can trust what he states because even though the alcohol may have some effect, but there had to be some motive to why he did what he did

I do not trust the narrator because he is drunk as he says in the story and drunk people don´t do or say the smartest things.

I don't think the reader can trust the narrator because he has already told us a lie that we know isn't true. He told us that he wasn't mad, even though he did something a mad man would do. Alcohol can change a personality dramatically if you always drink it.
