GlobalWebIndex also found the domestic iPlayer to be the most popular on-demand service in the UK by far - with 45% of internet users aged 16-64 accessing it in the past month, and just 4% being unaware of the service.

Netflix is the second most popular service, attracting 24% of web users. 

The BBC's most recent iPlayer figures revealed there were 222 million requests for TV programmes in May, with Peter Kay's Car Share the most popular show.

The GlobalWebIndex figures would suggest that 29% of these requests may have come from TV viewers outside of the UK.

Almost all television series or Netflix originals are American made. There are few exceptions but it is mainly dominated by american media (OITNB, Stranger Things, Teen Wolf, Pretty Little Liars, Breaking Bad) shows desirable lifestyle. bad education, miranda, sherlock, poldark are British made. Not many other shows from other countries for netflix UK. Amazon Prime Video's biggest selling point is currently The Grand Tour. Netflix and Amazon are the main two in competition. iPlayer and other television catch ups are almost in a different category.

You have to have New Digital Media to reach / be an audience member or a potential audience member (exclusive to those with technology and NDM), otherwise those without are left with "old-fashioned" access - television (no anytime viewing, watch whats on not what you want).

Marvel series. many shows american based about zombies, many crime dramas, many documentaries about nature. APV has more variation in its original series (TGT, The Man in the High Castle) but still commission mainly American content (Lucifer.)
however on APV Battery (Japanese: バッテリー Hepburn: Batterī?) is a Japanese light novel series by Atsuko Asano anime television series in 2016.

Only people with internet access and technology can access. only those with the money to pay a subscription fee. excludes those who have little access to technology (poor or in a deprived country/ area) and those who can't get internet access or don't want to pay. exclusive to a certain type of audience (young, working upwards class, westerners, have access to technology and internet - few people).
