So my cousin lives in Alabama which he gets paid $7.25/ hour. So I asked him, "Do you think minimum wage should be increased to 15/ hour, and why?". He responded, " I don't think it needs to be increased that high because people need to know they have to work for what they want because giving an 17/18 year old 15/hour working at McDonalds isn't teaching them handwork that to elevate in a job is to start off small and work your way up. But I do think it needs to be increased because the US bases minimum wage off of people working two jobs. Meaning if a person lives somewhere in TN they need to work two jobs just to have a livable wage. The country demands too much for people but they do this to control there people". So I agree 100% with his statement, and one thing I would add is that when they demand a lot from their citizens they give some people little close to nothing in return in certain parts of the country.

So she lives in California which she gets 15/hour. I also asked her, "Do you think minimum wage should be increased to 15/ hour in other states, and why?" So she responded with, "Minimum wage reflects the cost of living in each state, but she does think it needs to be raised to add wiggle room to citizens in all states. I don't think it's fair to give minimum wage that's barely enough to live off of. We should want out citizens to make enough to live in comfort and not struggle in making there monthly rent". This statement is agreeable because think about the families who have like 3 or 4 kids but get paid nearly nothing. I understand that they live in a different state and cost is different but people should be able to live in comfort wherever they go.

Senator Sanders thinks that "A $7.25 an hour federal minimum wage is a starvation wage, in announcing the bill Tuesday. No person in America can make it on $8, $10, or $12 an hour. In the United States of America, a job must lift workers out of poverty, not keep them in it". Which is totally true. Maybe in like the early 1900's you could have a minimum wage like that because things didn't cost much then but nowadays you can't live off of that.
