Okay, so this wonderful page is about  the current musical habits of the Seattle Symphony Orchestra in Seattle, Washongton, which just happens to be one of my favorite cities in the United States, (No, I haven't been there yet, but I'd like to think of it as "wishful thinking") and the Juneau Symphony Orchestra, which is located in Juneau,  Alaska. You never really hear much about these two places, which can most likely be attributed to the simple face that I live in Texas, but that's not important. Being the bigger of the two orchestras, the Seattle Symphony has been awarded  a Grammie, and has also received donations from Taylor Swift. The orchestra has also recorded music for Sea World, Orlando. The orchestra plays a lot of pieces from the 20th century, and a lot of them are from neglected American composers. The group is innovative in the sense that they play cuturally relevant music, like the piece that was performed with Sir Mix-A-Lot in 2014. The orchestra is pretty good about sticking to common ideas about the music that you would expect a symphony orchestra to play, practicing pieces from composers like Beethoven and Mozart. A lot of orchestras will play music that it most commonly associated with the canon, but I don't think that many orchestras play a lot of music scores or widely known pieces.
