When someone says the word artificial intelligence. the images of movie villains like the Terminator or Mecha Godzilla come to mind. However, these images of artificial intelligence are far from the reality of the situation. every time you get on your phone to look at memes on tik tok or Reddit you are using artificial intelligence. I know it's a lot more boring than in movies. Yet still, many people are scared when someone proposes Artificial intelligence in their work. However, many people don't know artificial intelligence with the proper guidelines can actually help you in your job.

One of the best examples of this comes from the use of artificial intelligence in the medical field. Doctors use Artificial intelligence in many ways. This is to help the doctor do things that they couldn't have seen without. Another piece of evidence comes from ABC Clio where they say” artificial intelligence is being used in the medical practice for things like detecting tumors in medical scans or identifying the most effective treatments based on past data.” This demonstrates that artificial intelligence is being used in the medical field and helping doctors to do their jobs. Not only does this benefit the doctor it also benefits the patient who can get vital information about their condition quickly and accurately.

Another reason why artificial intelligence should be in the workplace comes from coleytown middle school. I interviewed 14 eighth graders. I figured that a generation that understood technology better would side with me more than the adults who were more afraid of them. And it seems that my hypothesis was right seeing as out of the 1 out of the 14 students that took my poll disagreed with me. This shows that with the proper knowledge people will tend to favor artificial intelligence in the workplace

The next piece of evidence comes from Sean Lane who says“It's incredibly promising to see the continued and growing adoption of AI within healthcare,” this shows that the growth of artificial intelligence in the medical field is promising. Doctors are also using this technology more and more because of the pandemic. So the growth and usage of artificial intelligence is more important than ever. Another piece of evidence on why artificial intelligence should be used in jobs comes from becker's hospital where they say “Researchers developed a machine-learning algorithm to determine whether to accept patients to the Undiagnosed Diseases Network for extensive genome-scale evaluation. They found that the admission process could be accelerated by up to 68 percent using the algorithm, which would allow for more applications processed in a given time frame.” This shows how researchers and doctors are using artificial intelligence to make there job better for them and the patient.

Artificial intelligence in work isn't just limited to the medical field. It can be used more broadly for many other things for example”AI tools can ask employees a series of questions to form guidance on these topics, balancing a variety of considerations, such as how much coverage the employee has outside of an employer-provided policy, medical conditions and cost and make a recommendation.” This illustrates that artificial intelligence can help workers have a better retirement that is financially safe.

Some say that artificial intelligence is too unreliable for example they might use that google developed an artificial intelligence that does facial recognition. It however did not go so well seeing as”Its photo software had labeled black people as gorillas.” They say that this is proof that artificial intelligence is not reliable and doesn't work. However this is kinda a bad rebuttal because A it was already fixed and B it was because they did not scan a lot of african americans during the developmental stages of there artificial intelligence. So it was something that was fixed easily and artificial intelligence in stuff in other work areas probably wouldn't happen. In all artificial intelligence is not the evil that some less educated people might say it is. In reality it not only is more effective for the customer it is also great for the worker.

i chose to write this because i saw this conversation many times and wanted to weigh in on it.my favorite part was the into. this is because i like how witty it sounded and made my side sound more appealing. i especially like how i used things that were familiar to people to get them to side with me for example i used the analogy of the phone and looking at memes.this brings a layer of familiarity and male the piece more relatable. it also contradicts the previous statements which were comparing them to famous movie villains that have some sort of A.I. so by using this contradiction it gives off a comical affect which makes the other side seem extreme and fearful before people even get to me debunking them.
