The theme of mirrir image is self-accepyance because Alice was insecure about her identifty, later in the story she leargns to accept herself for whso she is, because of how ehr identity was chanmged so she learns to accept herself. in paragraph 2 it says, "Mirrors in unexpected places would make her start and lose her nerve. She avoided the girls bathroom altogerther" and in paragraph 88 it says, "In a small corner of the sidewalk she wrote her initials, ACS, with the tip of the umbrella." then in paragraph 89, "Alice was here, she thought. And then she walked toward home".

Alice was insecure abt her identity because she wasn't in her own body so she didn't accept herself because part of her identity so she thought she was a different person. like gurl...... she would wear sunglasses everywhere she goes and she never went into the girls bathroom she would also say "excuse me" to her own But when Mr.jarred said "You look so different." and I'll tell her I looked into your eyes and I didn't't see my daughter." like when he said that she new that she was Alice. Like at first she didn't know who she was until he said that. so gurl that's it........

so, basically the theme of Mirror Image is abt a guh named Alice who was insecure. & she ended up switching brains with another guy named Girl X and she had to talk with a man named Mr. jarred & she started to rmb who she was & found ha true self again. even after she switched body wit another person. & she finally felt sigma again.

The theme of the Mirror Image as it relates to identity is. It's mainly about Alice and the way she realized her appearance and her new character traits and thought the way on her journey starting in the hospital when she first got her brain transplant. In paragraphs 7 which was a flashback it stated " Alice had to re-learn how to move in the hospital, and to speak". That proves the process and the struggles Alice had to go through. In paragraphs 19 it prob backs up my answer with details and ROLL TIDE.
