In your independent reading book, which character has changed the most because of the conflict in the story. Make sure to explain how they have changed and the role he or she plays in the plot. Are they the protagonist, antagonist, or foil?

I believe that Amy, the protagonist, will change most after the conflict. I am not far enough in the book to see who actually has changed, but I am predicting Amy. She starts out as a reckless girl who really doesn't care much about others. She fights authority and doesn't think about consequences. When she arrives i Oz, she notices everything is off, so she's curious and tries to find answers to everything. Once she joins the Order of the Wicked and starts to train to kill Dorothy, the antagonist, I believe her attitude will change. I think she'll become a bit more hesitant when going into things, and she will fully think through her actions before she does something. I think she'll be a bit more insightful, and learn to survey the area around her. I believe she will learn hide her thoughts and beliefs from the people around her because she can't really trust anyone.

The person that changed the most in my book is the protagonist. The thing that changed her is society when they put up the Berlin wall and changed her life. She used to have a normal life and she was happy to live in east Berlin until her family was split in two by the west government ( the stasis ) when they built a wall right between east and west Berlin and threatened to kill anyone who dared to try to cross. After that the protagonist felt like a slave in east Berlin, so she changed from happy to miserable.

The conflict is between him and one of his friends after they both try out for the basketball team. The problem is Gus is not comfortable with his friend Cassie, who is a girl, making the team. They have problems throughout the book, until Gus decides that he was wrong and his attitude toward Cassie changes. This is all with help from his other friends Jack and Teddy, his sister Angela, and his parents.

The character that has changed the most in my story is Will. He is the protagonist in the story. He has been changed thanks to his memories of people he has loved that have been shot. This changed him because he was originally trying to shoot and kill the man who shot his brother and get revenge. He has changed from angry, hungry for revenge, and selfish to more caring, understanding, and compassionate. I wouldn't say he doesn't have any foils unless you include the people in his memories foils.

The main protagonist in my book is Tris. So far the biggest conflict she has run into are which faction she should choose. She could either stay in her faction with her family - Abnegation- or go where she wanted to go, Dauntless. If she chose to stay in Abnegation it would be a great act of selflessness therefore proving she was an Abnegation. But if she chose Dauntless it would be a great act of bravery which would prove she was a Dauntless. When she was handed the blade she was supposed to use to choose her faction, she sliced it across her hand and as her blood dripped onto the floor she made the split second decision to let her blood into the burning coals of Dauntless, leaving behind her family friends, and the only life she ever knew. Now that she is in Dauntless she has to change from being selfless to being brave.

The catalyst was his Mom and his brother. His mom suspended him for a couple games before his attitude shaped up. His brother wouldn't talk to him for a while and just left him out of every thing. He also didn't like how Josh treated during the last game. After Josh got his head around what he did he figured out that it was a mistake. He finally got his attitude together during the end.
