I think primary source is an artifact, a document, dairy, or a recording. A source is where you get information. In magazines there usually juicy story's and at the very last sentence it would say "According to our sources." 
What is a secondary source?
I think a secondary source is any source about a event, period or issue or issue has passed or accounts or interpretations of events created by someone without firsthand experience.
