While pelts were being shipped to Europe, other sailing ships were traveling to North America filled with trading goods and supplies. Traders would gather their supplies and the trading cycle would begin all over again.

Montreal

After the rendezvous, fur pelts would be shipped through the Great Lakes to Montreal. From there, sailing ships would send the pelts over to Europe.

Grand Portage

For many years the rendezvous took place at Grand Portage. Later it moved to Fort William.
