As soon as the jurors move to the deliberation room, Juror 3 is annoyed that the trial has taken as long as it has. In his eyes, the boy is obviously guilty. All he wants is to get the vote out of the way. He is shocked when he discovers that there is one juror who does not agree with him and the rest. He is annoyed when other jurors want to review the evidence. Juror 3 is blunt and straightforward. He is the type of juror to get straight to the point.

Juror 8 is the only one out of twelve who wants to further question the case. He is the only one to vote not guilty from the start and defends his opinion even though there is a ton of backlash from other Jurors. He steps up as a leader and empathizes with the defendant. He is very patient when trying to get his point across and also seems unafraid to voice his opinion since he is the only one that thinks the defendant may be innocent. He leaves no area of the case un-examined and always considers any possible circumstance. He makes great discoveries about the case such as the Old man lying, the knife, and the El-train. He truly cares about the case more than any other Juror. He is persuasive and brave.

He breaks up disputes between other Jurors when they debate, and maintains fairness. He also interacts with the guard to get evidence from the trial. When it comes to actually discussing the content of the trial, however, he's not really saying his opinion, but still votes guilty.
