I liked in the book that there were two people, both from Baltimore, With the same name but one Wes Moore grows up to achieve great things. The other Wes Moore will stay in prison for the rest of his life for his part in the murder of Sergeant Bruce Prothere. The two Wes Moore differences don't stop them from getting together and making their own story. The quote, "The choices we make about the lives we live determine the kinds of legacies we leave" (Moore pg. 185). This talks about how the Wes Moore's make different choices. That determines how their life ends up. Something that Inspired me about the book is that even though Wes Moore had the same childhood and every disadvantage that the other Wes Moore had, one of them still made it out and grew up to be successful. This shows that everyone can become successful; they just must go on the right path in life. Something that made me mad or angered in this book was the other Wes Moore's decisions that led to his time in prison. Every time he made a wrong decision in the book, it angered me because his life could have improved. As we can see by the other Wes Moore, he made the right decisions in life and became successful. If the other Wes Moore had taken the same path, he would have been successful. Something that surprised me in the book was how the story came to be and how the author Wes Moore was intrigued to talk to the other Wes Moore and took the time to make a story about both of their lives.

Canada's Wonderland is a giant amusement park located in Vaughn, Ontario and has many rides and roller coasters. I choose this visual art piece of a picture of Canada Wonderland to represent the book and make connections with it because Canada wonderland can give you a bad outcome and a good outcome even though a person would be in the same park. This reminds me of The Other Wes Moore because Canada's Wonderland would represent Baltimore, the place both Wes Moore's grew up in, and the roller coasters would represent the different lives the Wes Moore's had even though they lived in the same area as the roller coasters being in the same park. The quote, "The chilling truth is that his story could have been mine the tragedy is that my story could have been his" (Moore pg. 5). This shows that both Wes Moore could have had their life's switched because they grew up in the same place and had the same name, but one chose to go on the leviathan, and the other chose to go on the merry-go-round. Some rides in Canada wonderland can take you through many ups and downs and can give you a horrible feeling when you get off them. And other rides go through a smother path with a more comfortable ride, even though the rides are in the same park. For example, Rides like the Leviathan, Behemoth, Yukon Stricker and Flight Deck are huge roller coasters that take you through many ups and downs. They can give you a horrible feeling, something like the other Wes Moore who had many ups and downs in his life and the end, and he was sent to prison for murder. And that's a horrible feeling. But in the Other Wes Moores life, he went on a more comfortable ride like the swings or the Merry-go-round, and in the end, he came out with a better feeling, as we can see in the book. He becomes a successful man even though the other Wes Mores ride was in the same park.

In the book, when a teen does not have the proper guidance to become successful in life, it is prominent throughout the book. The quote:

"I was taught to remember, but never question. Wes was taught to forget and never ask why. We learned our lessons well and were showing them off to a tee. We sat there, just a few feet from each other, both silent, pondering an absence" (Moore).

As a kid, the author Wes Moore was taught to remember and never question, but the other Wes was taught to forget and never ask. This just shows how kids and teens don't have the proper guidance in life. The author Wes Moore was not Good in school and would skip school a lot until his mother sent him to military school, where he became more mature and disciplined after spending time in military school. The other Wes Moore was also doing poorly in school, but he could not get back on track, and it leads him to sell drugs, which lead to multiple arrests and his final arrest when he was arrested for murder, which put him in jail for life. This is a problem that happens in the world today and is still not talked about. Another big problem in the book is the issue of teen pregnancy. The other Wes Moores mom Marry was only 16 years old when she had her first son Tony. Wes's mom could not complete her education until after she took care of both of her children. Proper guidance and Teen pregnancy are big problems that come up in the book and come up in life today and need to be discussed.

Talent) by Tupac. The course "That just the way it is, oh yeah, that's just the way it is, things will never be the same, that just the way it, oh yeah we got to make a change" (Tupac). This line in the song would fit a theme song in the book because it talks about making a change. Throughout the whole book, the author Wes Moore repeatedly reminds the reader of the significance of change and how important it is to pick your socks up when everything is going wrong for you. The quote "Try again. Fail again. Fail better. Failing does not make us a failure. But not trying to do better, to be better, does make us fools "( Moore pg 123). This shows that if you try and change and it fails, you have to keep trying like the author Wes did, and now he's a successful man. Another line in the song by Tupac that would be fitting for a theme song is, "It's time for us as a people to start makin some changes. Let's change the way we eat, let's change the way we live, and let's change the way we treat others” (Tupac). This line just proves how this song would be a fitting theme song because it talks about everything the author Wes Moore did and what his story is about. Wes Moore changed the way he lived, talked, ate slept. He did everything to change himself because he knew the path he was going down was not good for him, and he changed for the greater good.
