Bassem Youssef's show eventually became the most-watched Egyptian channel on YouTube, leading him to launch the satire news show Al-Barnameg on Egyptian television. Al-Bernameg became the most popular show in Egypt, with more than 30 million people tuning in to watch every week. People believed in the army so much that they couldn’t believe they could lie. People where shocked when Bassem proved them wrong and showed sources of them not saying the truth all the time. Although Bassem Youssef faced pressure from the government to stop airing his show, he continued. This shows how brave he is showing people that the Egyptian army should not be trusted on everything.

In my own opinions I think Bassem Yousef is a person the has an opinion that follows the majority of his audience, causing his media platform to grow vastly through his satire. The audience gave him such a huge platform to an extent to where he is seen as a representative of the Arab and Egyptian culture. When someone has such power they are held accounted for anything he says. If the majority of the audience don't agree, bassem will be held accounted so a lot. It became to an extent to where he could not say anything if he knew that the majority would not agree on his opinion. Bassem was also courageous and brave, he had a huge platform and used it as he wanted, even if it meant that it would not appeal the go. People like to hear something they believe in, this was the scenario for Bassem's talk show throughout the first couple years. But when Bassem said that he though that Muslims threat non-Muslims the same was Donald trump threats Muslims, people where extremely enraged because that is not what they believed in. this caused huge backlash for Bassem, because he was seen as a representative for the middle east in the foreign eyes. I think Bassem should say whatever he wants without people attacking him for his opinions. He has the same rights as everyone else, famous or not.

Bassem Youssef is a very brave man that says it how it is. What Bassem did was that he said something that was very vague, in order for people not to misunderstand him, which caused people to misunderstand him. What happened in that interview was that he stated the kind of racism that the Arab world and the Middle East faces and forces people of different ethnicities and races to face, but refuses to accept any criticism for it. The truth is that a lot of people in the Middle East are extremely racist and are very discriminative towards other people but will not accept anyone stating it out loud. These people love to pretend to be victims, when they are the ones victimizing. There is so much racism and discrimination in these countries, but people still have the audacity of blaming Donald Trump for his racism and discrimination but will never admit to their own. The Middle East is a bunch of sinners judging sinners for sinning differently, or judging them for committing the same sins.

So thats why i agree with bassem youssef. I really want to see a change in this country and really think about what we are doing to the minorities of this country and just not judge trump for example because he is against muslims while muslims here are doing the same thing to the christians in egypt and the Middle East

Bassem Morsy is a very brave yet naive man. I support his cause and the message he gives to people, however the way he disrespects his leader triggers me to disagree with the way he chooses to display his thoughts. The message that we, Egyptians discriminate minorities is somewhat correct however, that does not mean that the same should be done to Egyptians that are being minorities in a foreign countries.

People in the Arab community are usually afraid to say anything against the leaders, or even talk about politics. But Bassem Youssef did not only talk about leaders, he also made fun and said some true things that no one could have ever said. I think Bassem Youssef is really strong and brave to go out and say all of this. Also i think that he is not done yet, he still has something to say

Well in my opinion Bassem had a great impact on Egypt he was one of a kind that did something that wasn't really famous in eastern countries with great success. Even if most of them were haters but he had thirty million people to follow his show. he always said what was on his mind and he would always show his exact point but with humor. He mostly did this to show the political situations in Egypt in a humorous way so the people can accept it. he portrays the truth without being afraid if though he got many death threats but he still wasn't afraid.
