The funding will be raised from a local charity. I need to identify the work of the animal shelter, different ways that the public can support charities, such as taking part in a fun run or donating clothes and other items. I also need to identify the best method to encourage the public to support the animal shelter. I will need to gather information and also use my problem solving skills. Also, my team will then need to decide on how we will support the charity and figure out what the best method is to encourage people into supporting it. Following this, I will need to find out which funding technique will be most beneficial to the animal shelter to attract the most attention such as advertising, promoting the charity and trying to raise the most money possible. This could then be done by using advertising techniques such as public visits, public and private vents and running our own fundraising event. My findings along with my teams must be well discussed and organised to minimise any chance of things happening that shouldn’t. During these fundraising events we will need to make sure everything is safe and secure and to take the proper security precautions. We will need to make sure that we meet the health and safety regulations to practically eliminate accidents or injuries during these events.

The skills in which I possess are planning, organisation, time management and problem solving and leading others. My planning skills will be used in this challenge to plan what I will do and it will ensure that I complete it in the required time. This skill will help me to know what I will be doing from session to session, so I do not repeat any of the planning. My organisation skills will be used in this challenge to ensure that I have the correct resources, tools and knowledge ahead of each session. I will organise all planning activities beforehand. My time management skills will help me in this challenge as I can ensure that all deadlines are met, that I do not go off-track/off topic as there will be a strict deadline to work to and I can ensure that all targets are adhered to in due time of the due date. Problem solving skills will help me in this challenge as anything can go wrong and it is unpredictable but with the skills I will be able to find a solution to the problem by myself.

Communication skills in this challenge will be used to guide and advise other team members of their progress. I will need to be confident, have a clear voice and a strong presence if I want to maximise their effect of leadership. Adaption is also a main aspects of fundraising as anything can go wrong. So I will need to be flexible in the way that I will plan the activity. I will need to adapt to the different situations. I will need to develop my personal mastery because it will be important that I know how to conduct myself when I am planning the event and how to make the best decision which will be the most effective results.
