         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp;    For this module, I had a bit of knowledge about genetics. I already knew about alleles, phenotypes, and genotypes. For molecular biology however, I had no idea on what were the things to be discussed there, except from DNA and RNA, the broad topics. I admit that I don't really have any interest about genetics and molecular biology since I find it quite boring and dull, which is why I thought that this module would be very difficult to learn. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Right off the bat, the very first thing I learned is about the history of genetics, along with its scientists and pioneers and their significant discoveries and theories. I learned about the difference between law of segregation and independent assortment, with examples. Then, genetic interactions: the different expressions of genes, and its two types: allelic and non-allelic. Both of its types had their own types as well, including dominances and epistases. I also learned about sex-linked traits and their examples such as some deficiencies and syndromes. After that, I learned how to make a pedigree analysis.&nbsp;<br><br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;For the discussions 3 to 4, the first thing I learned are the evidences in why DNA is the genetic material, can program cells, and can transform bacteria. I learned about DNA replication and its origins. I grasped the process of how a DNA is elongated and how a DNA is synthesized. Then, I was informed about the other proteins that assist DNA replication, such as helicase and topoisomerase. After DNA replication, I learned about protein synthesis, then, the roles and differences of RNA and DNA. There are three types of RNA: mRNA, rRNA, tRNA. I also learned about genetic codes and how to name the amino acids using the chart shown in the module. I learned about transcription: the process of copying the sequence of one strand of DNA, and their results . Then, translation: the process of decoding mRNA into a polypeptide chain, and its end product. Lastly, I learned about the Central Dogma and each of the steps in the cell cycle. I learned about DNA Recombination, Genetic Engineering, and GMOs.</div>]]></description>

         <title>THE CHALLENGES I FACED IN THIS MODULE...</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp;    The biggest challenge for me was the urge to not read the lessons thoroughly. As I mentioned earlier, I don't have that much interest for the topics in this module. Aside from that reason, the lessons were also pretty long, which I dreaded. Facing the module, I had a slow and unmotivated approach in the beginning, making this the last learning journal I finished despite it being the second module. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;I would say the only strategy I used for this module was to fight my urge to not study and to just read it thoroughly. Even though I still have a lot of misunderstandings and I still can't grasp some of the topics here, I got the big picture and the main ideas, which I think is already an accomplishment for me.</div>]]></description>

         <title>HOW I&#39;LL APPLY THESE LEARNINGS IN MY LIFE...</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The best thing I could apply in this module is about genetics and the hereditary traits we acquire from our parents.&nbsp; We all have different traits compared to other people, some traits we might like, and some traits we might dislike. You may be tall or short, have curly or straight hair, etc. Whatever trait you may have doesn't make you below or above any other human being because we all are equal. We shouldn't focus too much on the standards of our society. Each and every trait we have makes us unique, because we all are unique in our own ways.&nbsp;We shouldn't contemplate about the traits we have that we think are inferior because we cannot control them. It's a part of our identity. We should love every part of our body and embrace our "flaws".</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp;    I think the module was pretty informative. However, a module this long could use a little creativity and engagement for the readers. It would most likely attract a lot more attention and students would have a fun learning experience. </div>]]></description>
