Scene 1, Act 1

Gerardo gets home and Paulina is cautious, which leads to disagreements. Gerardo gets a flat tire on the way home, but manages to find someone to give him a ride. Paulina is portrayed as a jealous character, as she constantly questions Gerardo.

Scene 4, Act 1

Roberto wakes up and realizes that he is tied and sees Paulina in front of him with a gun. Paulina continuous to talk to Roberto in a normal tone. When Gerardo wakes up, he sees Paulina and Roberto tied up and is shocked. Gerardo accuses Paulina of being sick and unstable. Paulina admits to being sick, but accuses Roberto of torturing her in the past, as she recognized his voice and the way he speaks. Gerardo tells Paulina that he can tell the police. Paulina then threatens to kill Roberto and then kill herself.

Scene 2, Act 1

Roberto knocks on Gerardo's door and allows him to enter their house. They talk about the justice system and their opinions on the death penalty. Paulina, who is also inside the house does not have much dialogue, but tends to eavesdrop on Gerardo and Roberto's conversation.

Scene 3, Act 1

There is no dialogue in this scene. Paulina is seen entering Roberto's bedroom when it is late at night. Paulina takes Roberto into a spare bedroom and ties him into a chair. She then puts panties in his mouth to torture him and avoid him from speaking.

Scene 1, Act 2

The scene starts with Paulina talking to Roberto while Gerardo is fixing his car. Once Gerardo comes back, Roberto asks to to go to the bathroom. Gerardo volunteers to accompany him, but Paulina disagrees and wants her to take him. Roberto then comes back from embarassment of having to use the bathroom with Paulina.

Later on, Gerardo and Paulina have a conversation outside in the patio. They discuss Paulinas actions and reveal the fact Paulina got tortured and raped. This happens as Paulina forces Gerardo to say it. Gerardo exclaims that Paulina should not let others know about what happened, as this can affect his work as he may have to resign.

Gerardo then asks Paulina about what she want to happen. Paulina states, she thought of wanting Roberto to go through the same pain she went through, therefore wanting Gerardo to rape Roberto. Although, she thinks Gerardo would not be able to do that. After a few other disturbing ideas, she comes to a realization that she wants Roberto to admit to what he has done, not just to herself, but to everyone. This means that this news would end up on the news the next day. Gerardo disagrees, as he only thinks about himself and how it will affect him. Gerardo also asks her, what if he isn't the right guy. But Paulina is very sure of Roberto.

Paulina then says, she wants Roberto to admit to what he has done and will let him free. If he doesn't and says he is innocent, she will kill him.
