It was hard for immigrants to get good jobs or good pay because they did not speak english very well or at all. They had a hard time to get equal rights or even equal pay from the owners that they worked for. The immigrants had the hardest time out of all the workers because they didn't all know how to speak english very well and because they were paid very little they couldn't get a good place to live.

The women were abused during this time when the men would go out drinking with what little pay they had. The women had to stay at home most of the time, until they marched for equal rights and the abolishment of alcohol. While the men where away in the war the women had to keep the work place going by working the jobs they couldn't when the men were around.

The workers in the Gilded age were over worked and under paid for the work they did. In the mines they had candles that could light the whole mine up and kill just about every worker in the mine if the happened, in the steal industry if their was a problem with the machines the workers had to fix it fast, and if they got hurt doing it they would lose a limb or their life's because of the hot steal. In the meat industry if you fell into the the boilers they just left you their till you where noting but bones, and if you got hurt you'd lose your job, and the workers had to do some of the worst work you could think of at times just to get paid.

The muck breakers fixed the close quarter living, the crime rate, the medicine factor, work conditions, and the meat packing industry, so that everyone was serfer and could live in the united states making money not being stuck with little money paying high bills that they could barely afford.

Lesson of the Gilded Age

The lesson of the Gilded Age is that their are rules that should be put in place for the safety of the workers, and the owners don't need to make so much money and over work their workers while giving them little pay. The workers need to treat their loved ones right, and not spend all of their pay check at the bar, or abuse their wife's. Women deserve equal rights, and alcohol should not be protested against. Some things that are repeating its self is that women are being paid less than men for the same work. people are being over worked sometimes for little pay,
