I then created my sign-up for pocket using my UCD email. After creating my account I started looking through the articles that were available on the home page. I realized that I was able to create a favorites list of articles I had read and enjoyed. With these articles saved, I could also recommend them on my account to anyone that follows me. But, they are very different apps ins some ways. Firstly Pinterest is a platform where the user can create boards and collections with pictures of specific things. For me I have boards for room decor, costumes, tattoos, wallpapers, and the list goes on. These boards will then have an effect on what is shown on your main home page for Pinterest. On Pocket it allows you to view different articles that have been released and also recommend certain articles it thinks the user will enjoy. Similarly like Pinterest I was able to create a list with different articles that I had saved to read for later or even just enjoyed. The app pocket allows you to recommend different articles to your followers. The apps main similarity is the the feature where you can create list or boards with certain content that the user has saved. Then I decided on the topic in which I would study which was the Mountains of Ireland. After deciding my topic I then looked on the UCD library for instructions on how to go about creating my spreadsheet and google my map. It then brought me through the steps I needed to take to firstly create my spreadsheet with the locations and coordinates. Then the tutorial gave me a step-by-step analysis of how to go about publishing my map on google my maps. I started off by watching the Screencast-Omatic videos to get a clear view and approach of how I should go about making these videos. Then I set up my youtube channel with the guide video that was available to me on Brightspace. After watching these videos I watched a final video on how to edit my videos so they would be ready to post.
