Tegucigalpa is the capital city of Honduras and my hometown. There are many parks, restaurants, and beautiful places to visit. The weather is usually warm and sunny, and there are some cooler areas in the mountains. One of the most popular places in Tegucigalpa is El Picacho. There is a big statue of Christ and a zoo with different animals. It is a good place to visit with family because there are areas to walk, play, and enjoy nature.

When I was 13 years old, my family celebrated my sister’s and my birthday at El Picacho. That day, many of my uncles and cousins came. First, we walked around the zoo and saw animals like monkeys, macaws, snakes, a lion, and a tiger. Then, we ran around, played with a ball, and even rented bikes to race. Nobody fell down, which was lucky! After that, we went to the Cristo statue to rest and cool off. Later, we had food and birthday cake. It was a very fun day, and everyone went home happy.
