I think to have heroic virtue, you have to save or help lots of people intentionally, especially if it puts yourself at risk.

Born to a wealthy and prominent family, he often went unnoticed when he dedicated himself to serving the poorest people of Turin, Italy. He would give away his clothes, shoes, and money, even contracting the poliomyelitis that would lead to his death from those he was helping.

Persevering in his prayer life despite family disapproval: His parents were not religious and often misunderstood or disapproved of his piety. He bore their impatience silently and patiently, continuing to pray daily, including the rosary, and attending daily Mass and Eucharistic adoration.

Sacrificing his own romantic desires for the sake of his family's peace: He fell deeply in love with a woman, but chose to sacrifice the relationship because he knew his parents, who had a difficult marriage, would never approve of her, and that insisting on the marriage would worsen their already strained relationship.
