Having a picture with the word's definition is very beneficial.    3. Yes, technology is very beneficial. Students will be required to be comfortable with technology in all aspects of their lives, so it is important.

However, I am sure there are other strategies that would be more effective. I just don't know of them as I have not used this application before.
Q2: I feel this is a great discussion board. I may post a question or an objective and have students submit their reflection as a sticky. They could be anonymous or not, so that the students do not feel bad about their responses. I see this being utilized a lot more in my classroom thanks to your information. 
Q3: I feel using technology as an educator is very beneficial, however, I feel it is also necessary these days in order to keep up with the pace the world is moving. It does cause issues in class as it constantly fails, but that is a lesson we can teach our students in and of itself. I myself prefer to use it when at all possible. Make the posts a grade and if they do not post they do not get a grade or get a poor grade. 
Question 2: I would use padlet as an alternative for posting information for warm ups. I think that it can break the monotony of everyday canvas warm ups. 
Questions 3: I strongly believe that using technology is beneficial in the classroom. I think that the world is moving more towards a technology driven world and away from pen and paper and so should the classroom. Now I still believe that pen and paper is a very needed skill but a healthy balance between the two is essential.
I do have issues with technology in the classroom but I only have issues at the beginning when I am rolling it out. I look at the issues and struggles just like any task that is difficult at first. 3. I love using technology in the classroom. It makes it more fun for the students, and for me as well. It allows you to mix up the way you present information, as opposed to the lecture type method. There are issues of course, whether it be problems with the netbook working, the device being broken, and things of that nature. Normally, I give students a 50 and have them do corrections up to a 75 when that happens. If I notice it becoming a recurring thing with the same students, I give them a 0 and write them up for academic misconduct. I set these standards before we begin using Padlet. 
Q2: I think Padlet would be a great way for students to collaborate on a specific project. It would also be a great place for students to add ideas to. For example, students can refer to the Padlet for themes they are noticing during a novel. 
Q3: I think technology can be beneficial if used correctly.
