         <description><![CDATA[<div>The primary objective of Apollo 11 was to preform a crude lunar landing and returning to earth.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; The goal was set by JF Kennedy&nbsp; to land on the moon and return to earth in May 25, 1961. &nbsp; This mission was a lander mission.&nbsp; &nbsp; During this mission they were exploring and gathering samples from the moon.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This lander mission was to determine if Mars is able to support microbial life. It was launched in November, 2011 and it took over eight months to reach Mars. The rover is 10 feet long, 9 feet wide, and 7 feet tall. The Curiosity rover found that the conditions of Mars was once fit for ancient life. It also found ancient organic chemistry. This ended up being the most ambitious mission yet.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Alexys= New Horizons</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>     New Horizons was launched January 19th, 2006. On the way to Pluto New Horizons crossed the orbits of many other planets. Its biggest crossing was the birds eye view of Jupiter on February 28th, 2007,  New Horizons came to the closest approach of Jupiter. It also flew by the planets of Saturn on June 8th 2008, Uranus on March 18th, 2011, and Neptune on August 25th, 2014.<br>     New Horizon had a flyby through Pluto's moon. Pluto and its biggest moon were named the "ice dwarfs." New Horizons captured the data explaining if the planet could process methane gas. New Horizons is still on the mission.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>•	This mission was launched October 15, 1997. The mission will end September 15, 2017, when Cassini will be left to be destroyed in space.
<br>•	It was a 7-year journey in which they wanted to improve their understanding of bigger planets and how they evolve. They also wanted to understand Saturn’s origins, how much material is in the rings, and it’s gravitational and magnetic field.
<br>•	The Cassini orbits Saturn, and sent a probe, Huygens, down to Saturn’s moon, Titan. It successfully landed on Titan’s surface in 2005 to collect data and readings. The Cassini has also flown by other moons, such as Titan, Dione, Rhea, and Helene.
<br>•	Scientists have collected detailed maps, information about Saturn’s rings (such as a ring 8 million miles away from Saturn), ultra-close images of its surface and rings, and information about Saturn’s moons.

The data that was recorded was stored away for potential later use. This data helped characterize mars as a cold planet with volcanic soil. Viking was a lander/rover orbiter mission. This means that it was designed to take high resolution pictures and study the surface and atmosphere. The end date of this mission was November 13, 1982&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>
