The shot log was used to keep track of all of our shots that we have done and what shots took us more takes that usual. this is helpful when editing because we can know what one was the best as it is a certain shot number. So we do not have to go through each one and see which one was better quality. In addition the edit decision list was very helpful because if we were to loose our work we can go back and look at this list and see what transitions and techniques we used in that specific shot. So we can get the exact same edit as the last one.
We need to evidence these because we need to show we have shot multiple shots and showed we have backup shots incase some came out wrong on the computer. We need to evidence the editors log also because we can keep a list of all the shots we have edited and completed and don't have to worry about completing.
