Innocent women and men were accused of being witches despite the lack of evidence. Trials were held where accusers acted out wildly to show the witches curses and powers. In order to find some some sort of evidence, women were stripped down completely naked in the court rooms where people would search for marks around the woman's body that proves she's a witch. A third nipple was a common piece of evidence that accusers looked for on the bodies of witches. I was incredibly shocked by the treatment of the accused women and how they had no say in the matter once they were accused.
