Kris and Noelle have an INSANE amount of parallels. I haven't seen enough people talking about it.

Firstly! We're going to talk about their siblings because that's the most concise part of this. Noelle and Kris both have missing siblings, and their tethers to the world are torn. Kris has lived in Asriel's shadow their whole life and wants to get out, while Dess was Noelle's anchor who helped her through life. Both of them feel empty without their siblings, in different ways. Two sides of the same coin.

The religious symbolism. ANGEL ABOVE Toby pulled ZERO punches with this one. Noelle is associated with angels and Kris with demons. On the surface level, Noelle is tied to Christmas, and she wears a white robe in the Dark World, while Kris used to have a devil horn headband they wore constantly and are implied MANY times to have attempted to summon demons. But, on a deeper level. Hoo boy. There's the connection to the Delta Rune through the Weird Route, the ANGEL Noelle either bringing a happy ending or mass destruction. There's the both of them being "possessed" in some way, both via the Player, making them act strange (and Noelle going full creepypasta eyes blank). There's the ANGEL's HEAVEN that needs to be banished, there's Ralsei (a reflection of Kris's jealousy) being referred to as the literal PRINCE OF DARKNESS, it is out the WAZOO.

Also they're both gamers. PLEASE DON'T LEAVE THIS IS ACTUALLY IMPORTANT I PROMISE YOU. Ahem. Kris is a speedrunner. One of the important components of speedrunning is finding bugs that help you achieve your goal, breaking the game to twist it to your own needs. This contrasts Noelle, who we learn through the Spamton Sweepstakes, has a knack for stumbling into glitches on accident. Two sides of the same coin. Kris on purpose, Noelle on accident, perhaps like both of them came to be controlled by the player?

And all of this is in service of showing Kris's story vicariously through Noelle. The way she reacts to the Weird Route can be read as a reflection of Kris's own feelings.

They're two sides of the same coin, so we can look at one side to fill in the gaps of what we don't know about the other.
