The article "As Schools Lift Bans on Cell Phones" states that phones for thousands of kids just at one school would be highly expensive, and even if kids have their own phones, which most kids don't the school would still pay for internet and wifi. If they had so much money being spent than eventually schools would be shut down.

My source says that any student that enters the classroom with his or her cell phone simply shows lack of interest in education. This proves that students are not learning and have less time for education.
