The author of we were liars is E. Lockhart (Emily Jenkins). This book was published in 2014. For context We were liars is a mysterious young adult novel about a wealthy family who spends every summer on their private island. The main character is Cadence. After Cadence suffers a head injury during one of the Summers, she can not remember almost anything from that trip to the island. The Genre is Young Adult fiction and psychological thriller. I personally love this book, I found out about it from TikTok and I was surprised because it was really good. I find this book super interesting especially at the end with such a surprising plot twist. I am so glad I found out about this book and I'm definitely not disappointed. It had all the important factors I look for in a book, it was interesting, and well written. Although at first it was a bit confusing and boring, but it was definitely worth the wait and suspension.

The book looks fun to read and just by reading the introductory summary to grab your attention, you can already tell that the book would be fun to read. The book is about a kid name Greg Heffley who looses his best friend, Rowley, but for Greg, finding new friends is hard. The most important factor that led me into wanting to read the book was the fact that it is a children's book and it has humor in it so i wouldn't get bored of reading the book.

After observing and analyzing the book “The Book Thief” by Markus Zusak I noticed that the time this book takes place in is wwII during the holocaust.it seems that this book can potentially be a eye opening experience of emotion and through real life scenarios of the past for the viewer taking part in reading. These factors play a big role in how I can enjoy a proper book and might even have the potential for your favorite book in the future.
