Assalamualikum and Hello everyone!! For usrah task which is known as Role Play, we need to do either poster or video for the task. our usrah also had been devided to six group and i'm in group 5. My group members are Firas, Huzaifah, Hazlamee and me. our topic is Adab As A Student. we had done the discussion and also agree to complete our task by doing poster. we also had devided each of us task that need to be done to complete our poster.
My task is that I need to find 1 adab as a student and i need to edit the poster. I use Canva to create and edit my poster since it has a lot of templates that can be use. So, i don't have any trouble to edit our group poster.

Usrah Week 1 : Adab in Seeking Knowledge and Al-Quran as the Book of Guidance

Assalamualaikum and Hello everyone!! For my first week of Usrah, our topic is about Adab in Seeking Knowledge and Al-Quran as the Book of Guidance. Before our usrah discuss about this topic, we had a ta'aruf and ice breaking session to introduce and knowing our usrah members. After the ice breaking session, we move to our next agenda which is discussing about our topic. Our facilitator, Br Ashraf explain to us briefly about this topic and to summarize it:

1.) Adab in Seeking Knowledge
- For the outward manners, we should repeat and review our exercises, take notes whenever there is lecturing session, ask when there is confusing question, do extra reading to gain more knowledge and always prepare for the class.
- For the inward manners, we need to have intention of seeking knowledge for Allah, set a clear goal to seeking knowledge, always perform prayer and ask help from Allah, having good manners with others and consistent on seeking knowledge.

-Disciplinary Cases Among Students: Adab addresses the importance of students' behavior and conduct within the educational setting. It emphasizes the need to address disciplinary issues in a manner that respects the dignity of all involved.

Learning to Know: Acquiring knowledge and understanding facts and concepts.
Learning to Do: Developing practical skills and the ability to apply knowledge.
Learning to Live Together: Emphasizing the importance of social and cultural understanding and harmony.
Learning to Be: Focusing on personal development, character, and moral growth.

2.) Al-Quran as the Book of Guidance

-The Quran is distinct from previous religious texts, holding a unique status in Islam as the final revelation from God. It is believed to supersede and correct earlier scriptures.
How to Learn from the Quran (Suggested Hierarchical Orders):

Learn About the Signs of Creators in the Quran: Study the verses in the Quran that illustrate the signs of God's creation, reflecting on the natural world as evidence of His existence.
Learn About the Arguments for the Oneness of God: Explore the Quranic verses that emphasize the concept of monotheism (Tawheed) and the oneness of God.
Learn About the Stories of Prophets: The Quran contains narratives of various prophets and their experiences, offering moral and spiritual lessons.
Learn About the Seerah: The Seerah refers to the biography of the Prophet Muhammad. Understanding his life can provide insight into the application of Quranic teachings.

Usrah Week 2 : Pillar of Islam (Hadith Jibril)

Assalamualaikum and Hello!! for my week 2 of usrah, our discussion topic is Pillar of Islam according to Hadith Jibril. The hadith tell about the 5 pillar of Islam, 6 Pillar of Iman, Ihsan, about hour and lastly about the sign thereof (i.e of its coming). This happen when a man dressed in extremely white clothes and with very black hair appeared and sat down close to Prophet Muhammad and ask all these question. After Prophet Muhammad finish answer all of these questions, the man went off. Prophet Muhammad said to Umar whether he know the man and Umar said that Allah and His Messenger know better. Prophet Muhammad said that the man is Jibril and he came to teach you your religion.
according to the Hadith, there are 5 pillar of Islam which are :

Shahada (Profession of the Faith)

Muslims recite two shahadas, “There is no God, but God”, and “Muhammad is the messenger of God”, both of which are usually recited in Arabic. The second shahada is also used when individuals convert to Islam, and must be recited in order for someone to become a Muslim.

The shahadas assert that Islam is a monotheistic religion, and that the Prophet Muhammad is a guide for Muslims to follow. The shahadas are fundamental to Islamic practice: they are the first words said to new-born babies, they are recited 5 times a day during prayer, and they are the last words said to someone on their deathbed.

2. Salah (Prayer)
The importance of prayer in Islam is demonstrated by the audible call to prayer by the chanting of a Muezzin (caller). Before Muslims pray, they perform a ceremonial act of washing themselves, known as Wudu (purification), usually focused on washing their hands, face, and feet. Muslims pray 5 times a day, at dawn (Fajr), noon (Dhuhr), afternoon (‘Asr), evening (Maghrib), and night (Isha). For Muslims who are travelling, the noon and afternoon prayers may be combined, as can the evening and night prayers. During prayer, Muslims recite verses from the Qur’an loudly or silently and they physically prostrate themselves to Allah – a form of low bowing called ‘sujud’. This must be done in the direction of the Ka’bah in Mecca, the holiest site in Islam. For Muslims unable to perform sujud due to illness or disability, they may pray whilst sitting or lying down. Muslims may perform their prayers anywhere, although a mosque is preferable.

3. Zakat (Charity)
Zakat is usually paid to charities which support the Islamic community (for example, building and renovating mosques) or to those who are in need or in poverty. The practice of zakat is mandatory for those who can afford to do so, and demonstrates Muslims’ acknowledgement that all things, including their wealth, belong to God.

4. Sawm (Fasting)

Muslims fast during the month of Ramadan, the holy month of the Islamic lunar calendar. During this time, they fast from dawn until dusk, abstaining from any food, drink, and tobacco. Fasting is believed to help Muslims empathise with the plight of the poor and reflect inwardly to connect with their faith. Ramadan ends with a three-day festival called Eid al-Fitr, on the first day of which Muslims give money to the poor. Children, the elderly, and menstruating, breastfeeding, or pregnant women are all exempt from fasting, as well as Muslims with health conditions such as diabetes.

In the Qur’an, there are three types of religious fasting (siyam): ritual fasting (during the month of Ramadan), ascetic fasting, and fasting as compensation for sinfulness.

5. Hajj (Pilgrimage)
At some point in a Muslim’s life, they are required to make a pilgrimage to Mecca during the final month of the Islamic lunar calendar, to represent their devotion to God. A pilgrimage to Mecca at any other time in the year is known as an Umrah, which is not compulsory but still highly valued. However, Muslims who cannot make a pilgrimage due to their economic status, ability or physical impairments are not required to do so.

When Muslims enter the sacred area of Mecca, they must walk around the Ka’bah seven times, in a ritual called Tawaf, and touch the Black Stone (a rock set into the Ka’bah), which is called Istilam.

After Muslims have made the pilgrimage, they are known as a hajj(a) and are honoured by the Muslim community.

Usrah week 3

Asslamualaikum and Hello!! For my 3 week of usrah, our topic is discuss about Pillars of Iman which are consist of Belief in Allah, Malai'kah( the Angels), Kutub ( the Books), Rasul and Anbiya' ( the Messenger and the Prophets), Qiyamah ( the Resurrection Day ) and Qada' and Qadar. But for this week, we only discuss about the first three Pillars of Iman Which are :

Believe in the existence of Allah
Allah created all of mankind to have Iman in their Creator, as He says:
So direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth. [Adhere to] the disposition of
Allah upon which He has created all people. No change should there be in the creation of
Allah. That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know.
[Surah al-Rum 30:30]

Human intellect has proven that this universe has a Creator, for indeed all of creation, from its beginning and afterward, must have a Creator that brought it into existence.

One’s senses also prove the existence of Allah, for we witness the alternating of the day and night, provision for every human and animal, and the management of the affairs of all creation, all of which prove His existence by clear-cut evidences.

2. Belief in the Existence of Angels

The second pillar of Iman is to believe in the Angels created by Allah (SWT). To believe their existence despite you can’t see them. To understand that they are not god’s children as some may think.

Angels are Allah’s creations who worship Him. They are another creation of Allah who does not possess free will. They obey Allah on His one command and always exalt our Lord’s Greatness and Mercy. Belief in Angels encompasses a belief in their existence, qualities, and the deeds they accomplish which we are taught through the Quran and Sunnah.

, Angels are created from light.\They don’t sleep, eat or suffer from illnesses. Allah Almighty says in Quran about the obedient Angels:

And those nearest to Him are not too proud to worship Him, nor do they tire.

Surah Al-Anbiya versus 19 [21:19]

Belief in the Angels is crucial, as they keep a record of our deeds. They also blew the trumpet on judgment day, taking people’s souls (i.e. angel of death), and being the keepers of heaven and hell.

3. Belief in The Books of Allah (SWT)

Believing in all the books of Allah is the third of six types of iman. As Muslims, we must believe that Allah has sent down holy books.

In this regard, Allah (SWT) says in Quran:

He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel

Surah Al-Imran versus 3 [3:3]

There are 5 holy books that Allah Almighty has revealed to His messengers as guidance and proof for mankind:

The Scrolls (Suhof) that Allah revealed to the Prophet Ibrahim, peace be upon him
The Psalms (Zaboor) that Allah revealed to the Prophet Dawud (David), peace be upon him
The Torah (Torah) that Allah revealed to the Prophet Musa (Moses), peace be upon him
The Gospel (Injeel) that Allah revealed to the Prophet Isa (Jesus), peace be upon him
The Holy Quran was sent with the last Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Every Muslim should believe in the 5 holy books as they are the words of Allah (SWT). Yet, they should only learn Quran and follow its commands because it’s the last revelation.

Usrah week 4

Assalamualaikum and hello !! So for our usrah week 4, our topic is Pillars of Iman. In this week, our usrah continue with the three last of Pillars of Iman which are Believe in Rasul and Anbiya' (the Messenger and the Prophets ), in Qiyamah ( the ressurection Day ) and in Qada' and Qadr.

1. Believe in Rasul and Anbiya'
On Surah Nuh (71: 1-280 ), these verses tell us about the believe in Rasul. In this context, prophethood is considered as another level of Allah’s guidance which continuously reminding humans about their ultimate task in this life and showing them the right path to achieve it through right belief system (‘Aqidah), right rules (Shari‘ah), right manners (Akhlaq), and true knowledge about their existence (life and hereafter). The effect having our iman on prophet are that we will have good akhlaq and we can increase our piety to Allah.
2. Believe in The Day of Judgement
Allah has not created his creation in vain. He created men and jinn to worship him and promised paradise as a reward to those who obey him and his messengers, and promised hellfire to those who disobey him or his messengers. During the final hour, humans will be questioned about their deeds in this world. Those deeds will be weighed for them. One whose good deeds overweigh his evil deeds will prosper, while whose bad deeds outweigh his good ones will be condemned to hellfire – unless he died in the state of Islam. Then, Allah would either forgive him or punish him, and eventually, he would enter paradise. There are stages of Day of Judgement. firstly it start with death, graveyard, small sigh of Qiyamah, big sign of Qiyamah, the situation of Qiyamah, resurrection day, Mahsyar, Hisab, Sirat, intercession of Prophet, Prophet's well and Heaven & Hell.

3. Believe in Qada' and Qadr
Qada' is a matter decided by Allah SWT towards all his creatures whether from the point of creating them, canceling them, or changing them.

Fate is something that has been determined by Allah SWT since the beginning of time, so that it happens according to His knowledge that precedes everything.

Ibn al-Athir compares it by saying Qadar is the foundation or building site, and Qada' is the building built on that foundation.

Usrah Week 5 : Ihsan and Eschatology

Assalamualaikum and Hello everyone!! On our week 5 usrah, we have learned about The understanding of al-Iḥsān based on Sūrah al-Isra’ (17: 22-39), sample on application of Iḥsān in daily life. (Sharh of Hadith No. 17 in Al-Nawawi's Forty Al-Hadith), brief exposition on Eschatology (Heaven & Hell). In my understanding :
1. IHSAN
Ihsan is an extremely comprehensive term that includes all acts of goodness towards others. It encompasses dealing with others in a goodly manner, perfecting something and doing it with excellence in order to please Allah, giving your best to people around you, fulfilling your duty as a good slave to Allah and a good person to His creation and so on and so forth. Doing acts of goodness include using your wealth, knowledge, position and body to do good to others. In short, a person with ihsan does no harm to himself or others through his deeds/words/actions. There are two level of Ihsan which are the higher and the lower Ihsan. This level of ihsan is equally important too, because, when you realize and understand that Allah sees every single thing you and your behavior towards others around you, you will automatically question yourself when you know you’re overstepping the line or are violating someone else’s rights. These people are known as “al-muraaqabah” (the level of one who is being watched or observed).
2. Eschotology
Eschatology, particularly concerning heaven and hell, explores the fate of human souls in the afterlife. This concept is central to many religious and philosophical systems, addressing questions of morality, judgment, and existence.

**Heaven** represents eternal bliss and unity with the divine, rewarding the righteous with joy and contentment. It motivates virtuous living and spiritual fulfillment.

**Hell** is a place of eternal punishment for those who defy moral or religious principles, often involving torment and separation from the divine. It serves as a moral deterrent.

These beliefs revolve around divine judgment, where one's actions and character determine their afterlife destination. They shape religious practices and moral choices, influencing individuals to strive for heaven and avoid hell.

Beyond religious contexts, heaven and hell have been explored in literature and philosophy as metaphors for the human condition and the quest for transcendence. These concepts remain influential in our understanding of life's ultimate meaning and what may await us after death.

Reflection and Suggestion

Assalamualaikum and Hello. so right now this is the last part of my E-Portfolio which are my wish and reflection on my usrah.
MY WISH
During my usrah 1 with Br Ashraf, i have stated some of my ambition that I consider my wish as well. I am currently a economic student and my wish that i hope that I will do well for foundation in CFS and I could get Dean Lists or 4 Flat for every semester, Amin. Other than that, my wish also is that I hope I can be a good servant to Allah SWT, a good ummah for Rasulullah and a good son for both of my parents. I also wish to do well in this life and the hereafter.
My wish also may be related to my goal, so my goals in the future is to become an accountant from popular and famous company so that i could get a lot of money income. Such as Petronas, Maybank and so on. Not just that, I also want to be someone who's useful for my parents, my family and my society.
So, I have done what i said that I want to do? Well, I'm on my way to do that and inshallah it will happen with the grant of Allah.

MY REFLECTION

I realize that through this Usrah 1, I have learnt many useful things and topics with Br Ashraf. Although sometimes the the time for usrah is a little bit to long, which is 2 hours, but Br Ashraf always make sure that he told us the knowledge that is important and useful for our daily lives and sometimes Br Ashraf will make usrah shorter than the time that has been set, even though it is short, but he gives us knowledge at least one new knowledge that does not know about it.
Other than that, my reflection is also that I have meet with a lot of new friends. I agree that usrah can tighten our relationship like a family since I think that I have become more comfortable with my usrah members. Not just that, since our facilitator, Br Ashraf also a supporting and caring guy, it makes our usrah more interesting and enjoyable.
For improvement, I would liike to suggest that the time of usrah can be change to another time since 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., we are quite tired from classes. So maybe our usrah can be done on Friday's night. My another suggestion is that to add activities on usrah session. It is because it could make the usrah program become more interesting.

Asslamualikum and Hi everyone!! So for the week 6 of Usrah, the topic that we discuss are Adab toward parents. To conclude the topic that I had learn on week 6 :

Adab toward parents

According to Surah Maryam (41-50), there are a plethora of Adab towards parents that we can follow. For example,

conveys deep respect and intense love forone’s father.
Ibrahim A.S did not insult his father or confront him forhis disbelief. Instead, he merely invited his father’sattention to the helplessness and insensitivity of his idols
Being patient and tolerant with parents
The children must take great care not to react to what their parents have to say, If they say or do anything which is not liked or approved of by the children, then they must show patience and tolerance instead of giving vent to their anger. The children must scrupulously try to refrain from disobeying their parents since the Prophet ﷺ regarded this as one of the grave sins.
Obey your parents with full devotion
Obey your parents with full devotion. Even if they show some intransigence, obey their will cheerfully. Keeping in view the great favors which they have done to you, try to fulfil all their demands willingly which may be offensive to your own taste or temperament, provided, of course, they are not derogatory to the tenets of religion
