         <description><![CDATA[<p>Iranian art has gone through many phases, Each dynasty had its on focus and influence. prior to the Islamic revolution, art played a major part in the culture, and influenced many cultures as well. According to the <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="http://metmueseum.org">metmueseum.org</a>, "the art consisted of contemporary, and abstracting pieces. "A famous artist, Hossein Zenderoudi played a big role in introducing certain art techniques and making a change in the culture in art around this timeline. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Before the revolution, there was a golden age for cinema in Iran. Its growth and innovation occurred in the 1960s and 1970s. This was big for Iran as new films were going around, called "Film Farsi," and they were very artistic and diverse. There was also a big influence on Western cinema during this time.</p><p><br/></p><p>Some popular movies in this period included "Cow" directed by director Dariush Mehrjui. It is about a poor villager who is attached to his cow. When the cow passed away the villager began to turn into the cow.</p><p><br/></p><p>In addition, there was another popular movie titled, "Qeysar" directed by director Masoud Kimiai.          <description><![CDATA[<p>In Iran, they were very creative in how they made music before the revolution. For example, the most popular music before the revolution was classical Persian music. This music was made emotionally using stringed instruments, flutes, and drums. This had the majority of music in this period.</p><p><br></p><p>There also was Folk music with songs passed down for generations. These were often telling stories of love, nature, or heroism. </p><p><br></p><p>Another popular music genre was film music. This was made a genre because of how popular movies became in Iran.          <description><![CDATA[<p>*Sports popular in Iran included freestyle wrestling, chess, polo, bodybuilding, dart throwing, and association football (soccer). </p><p>*Sports were frequently watched at the Olympics and observed by Iran's national sports council.</p><p>* Under Raza Shah’s ruling, he allowed for women’s sports to become more dominate just like men’s sports have always been.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Iranian cuisine prior to the revolution, was known as Persian cuisine, and its use of rice, meat, vegetables, and dairy products. The cuisine was known for its subtle flavors, delicate appearance, and simple preparation.</p><ul><li><p>No fast food or bacon products, rice was the major item for the wealthy, bread was dominant staple for the rest of the country, some main sides are often vegetables and herbs, eggplant called the “potato of Iran”, fresh fruit is eaten often, but not as much as vegetables.</p></li><li><p>Before the war, rice was a major food in northern Iran.
