I believe that “I Love You Forever” is not a realistic representation of the relationship between mothers and their children. Firstly, in the part where the mother crawls across her son’s floor every night to rock him to sleep, I find it hard to believe that a mother would really do that. To rock a baby to sleep every night is understandable, the baby is small and easy to hold. But rocking a teenage boy to sleep every night? Unless the mother has been taking steroids and hitting the gym twenty-four seven, I can’t see that happening. Secondly, after the son has grown up and moved out, the story says that the mother would sometimes drive across town just to rock her son to sleep. Really? What kind of elderly woman drives in late night traffic and drive across town just to rock her GROWN UP son to sleep? How did she even get into the house anyway? Did she break in, or do they naively keep the doors unlocked? But, a mother’s love is endless, and in some parts throughout the story it IS realistic. Even so, I stand by my argument and still say that this story is very unrealistic.

This story is not a realistic representation of the relationships children have with their moms. This is not realistic because, when your child is a teenage they want their privacy. They don’t want their moms sneaking in their rooms at night and watching them sleep. Or grabbing them and trying to rock them. Another example is that the mother drives all the way across town to he son who is a full-grown man living on his own because he is an adult. And essentially breaks into his house so she can go snuggle with him and rock him like a baby. Also in the end, her son ends up rocking her. This isn’t a normal thing people do. When your parents get old you take care of them to an extent. I don’t think this is realistic. My mom doesn’t drive to my brother’s house to go rock him in the middle of the night. Its just something you don’t do. Neither of my parents come down stairs into my room to come rock me in my sleep. They have their own things to do. They have to go to work and wake up early they don’t have time to wake up at 3:00 am and come rock me and go back to bed and wake up in 3 hours. That is why this is unrealistic.

I believe that “I Love You Forever” is a realistic representation of the relationship between moms and their relationship. There are many examples in the story relating to relationship between a mother and son. The first example would be when the mom said, “this kid is driving me crazy” but in the end, she went to her child’s room and rocked him back and forth forgetting the anger. I have seen this happen to my brother and my mother. When my brother was younger he would cause a lot of trouble for my parents which ended up making my mother mad but at the end of the day my mother would still be there taking care of my brother. Another example is when the mother in the book say she feels like she is a zoo. This relates to when my brother and I would create a ruckus in the house which would later get us both in deep trouble and end up giving my mother a headache. Lastly in the book the mother drives across town overnight just to see if his son his asleep and stress-free. This relates to when my cousin got sick and as soon as my aunt found out he was sick, she came home from work right away just to take care of her son. These are the reasons why the story “I Love You Forever” is a realistic representation of a relationship between a mother and a son.

~D.P. B Slot

This story is a realistic representation of the relationship between mothers, and their children. Even though the actions are unrealistic between the mother and son, I believe this book represents how unconditional a mother’s love is for her child. For example, the song that she sings to him throughout the book is how a mother feels towards their children. No matter what age you are. Secondly, throughout the book as the boy grows, he makes certain decisions and does certain actions that the mother does not approve of. However, at the end of the day she forgives her son and still loves him the same. As the saying goes, “I may not like the way you’re acting, but I still love you.” No matter what decisions you make In life your mother will always forgive you. Finally, at the end of the book the son rocks his newborn daughter back and forth just like his mom did when he was born. This shows that a mother’s love continues on within you even though she’s not around.

In conclusion, a mother’s love teaches you, is forgiving and lasts a life time.

This story is not a realistic representation of the relationship between mothers and their children. Though mothers generally love their children a great deal, it is rare for them to display this extreme level of affection that the mother in this story has towards her son.

Mothers in today's modern-day society are very busy and they have many things to do on their schedule besides just purely love their kids. It is highly unrealistic to expect them to devote this much time and energy on their children as their lives don't just revolve around their children. Many mothers go to work or they have friends and other family that they are willing to devote time to rather them remain tied to their children every day, all day.

The child in the story is much more naughty than normal kids and the amount trouble he gets himself into is an exaggeration. Most kids today are fairly well-behaved and I assume that if a child in real-life made that type of mess as he does on a daily basis, his mother definitely wouldn't be singing him a special song at night- I would be surprised if she didn't give him away or attempt to discipline him in some way or another. The father is also very absent in the story- it is possible that the mother is a single mother. In this case then she would be working much more and she wouldn't be able to devote the amount of time she does on the kid. If there is a father in the story, he is surprisingly absent. These days, fathers spend much more time with their kids and they are much more involved with their kids' lives.

Also, I have never heard of a mother climbing into her son's bedroom through his window and holding him in her arms. That is very strange and I am greatly concerned for the mental health of this mother. It is unnatural to climb into anyone's bedroom windows at night, even if they're your own child.

The story I Love You Forever is a realistic representation of relationships children have with their moms. There are many examples of how the mother and son relationship in the book is realistic. Even though most of the action aren’t very realistic between the mother and son, I believe that it shows how much the mother loves her son. First example is when the mother rocks her son to sleep on a rocking chair. When my brother was born my mom would rock him to sleep in our new rocking chair. Secondly as the boy grew up he became a bit of a trouble maker. When my little brother got older he also became a bit of a trouble maker himself. Third example is when the boy never wanted to take a bath or come in for super. Now my little sister is like that, she never wants to come inside to eat dinner instead she’d rather play outside. In conclusion, I think the story " I Love You Forever" is a realistic relationship between a mother and son. A mother’s love lasts a life time.

In my opinion, this story is very realistic. Here are some examples to prove my thinking. On the 3rd page, the baby grew into a two year old, when a child is at that age they would want to touch everything, run around everywhere and mess up the house. We would drive our mothers crazy. That is exactly what he did, he messed up the bathroom and drove his mother crazy, but at the end of the day his mother comes into his room rocks him back and forth and sings her lullaby to him. Another example is when we grow up and become teenagers, we do unthinkable things like be rude to our family relatives hang out with bad influences also a lot of major changes happen, we all go through it so did he, but while he was sleeping his mother still sung him a lullaby. This shows that a mothers love is unconditional.

TD(A slot). The story I love you forever is a realistic presentation of the relationship between a mom and her child, the book has a lot of examples in the story relating the relationship between a mother and her son. The first example is where the child pulls the books from the shelves, throws his mothers watch down the toilet and the mum says her child is driving her crazy, this reminds of my cousins when they were the age of the terrible two’s they turned the house upside down, ate anything they saw, destroyed everything wrote on the wall they were driving not only their mum crazy but me too because I had to stay at home with them to babysit during the weekends, but if they cry or get injured their mum picks them up and does everything to comfort them this is the same thing the mother in the story does, at night she goes back to his room, picks him up and rocks him back and forth. Second example is when the boy grew till the age of 9 and he never wanted to come home for dinner, he did not want to take a bath and he said bad words to grandma. That is my brother right now although he is older than 9 but my mum yells at him to wake up, stop playing games because its time for dinner, she has to go to his room at night to make sure he is not up watching tv or playing games and sometimes they fight and don’t agree on some things but at the end my mum always goes back to him and explains why she yells at him to wake up, take a bath, reduce the amount of games he plays so he understands that it is out of love and not just because she just feels like yelling, the mother in the book does the same but in her case she goes to his room at night and rocks the boy I don’t think my mum does that she doesn’t have that time. overall, I think the story is very realistic figuratively and illustrates the relationship between a mother and her son it doesn’t do a good job in illustrating it literally but overall, it is a very realistic relationship between a mom and her child.

The story is a realistic representation of the relationships between moms and their children. The reason why I chose that is because, even though we got in trouble almost all the time our moms still loves us a lot. They may say they “want” to sell us to the zoo or something like that they will never do that, they are just joking around. They take care of us all the time, and if they are mad at you just before you left to go see your friends and something bad happened to you well you where out (like you wounded up at the hospital) they would be so worried about you. Also, no matter how old you get, you will always be there baby, like what the mothers sings to her child while there sleeping “I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always, as long as I’m living my baby you’ll be”. That is very true because my brother gets into trouble all the time (like non-stop) she still loves him and he will always be her baby and, that’s same with me and my sister we will always be our moms baby. So remember this when you get in real bad trouble and your mom is mad at you she will always love no matter what. HRC (b slot)

This story is not realistic representation of the relationships between moms and their children. Because in this days many parents were really busy on their job and sometimes they won’t have time to bonding with their children. This relationship between her child and the mom is not realistic, because the mom shows extreme emotions to their child for example “His mother wanted to sell him to zoo”, and also base what said in the short story were the child is really naughty. For me that won’t happen in real life where a 2 years old kid can go to the bathroom and throw stuff and flush it on the toilet, that won’t happen in real life.
And one thing, I never heard a kid pulling books from the shelves and a mom who is kind of weird because of watching son’s while he is sleeping.

This story is a realistic representation of the relationships between mums and their children. An example in the story is when the mum say’s, “This kid is driving me CRAZY” but she still goes to sing to him at night. This really reminds me of my mum and my twin baby brothers who are 4 years old. Whenever they play with their toys and make a lot of noise my mum always must tell them to be quiet. I know that my mum deals with a lot of stress when trying to deal with the twins but at the end of the day she tells them that she loves them and makes sure that they are safe and having fun. Another example is when the grew into a teenager and he had weird friends, wore strange clothes, and listened to strange music but again, she rocked him and sang to him. This shows that she doesn’t really care if he acts ‘weird’ she still loves him. It relates to a realistic relationship because a mother’s child are still her child no matter what. A last example is when the man eventually grew up and sang to his daughter the same song his mum sang him. This is an example tells us that he learned and really looked up to his mum who was a role model to him. This relates to a realistic relationship because parents are a children’s greatest role model.

AK ( B slot)In my opinion, this story is a representation of the relationships between moms and their children. A relationship between a mother and her child is very special. For example, in this book the mother rocks her son every night in her arms from when he was just a baby to when he is a grown man. To me this tells me that even though her son has grown up and does not live with his mother anymore she will always love him just the same.Another example is at the end of the book when his mom is getting very old. Her son rocks her back and forth just like she used to do. This reminds me of my mom because when she was young my grandparents cared and raised her. But now that they are getting old and can’t do quite as much my mom cares for them and helps them out.One other thing that stood out to me in this book is the beginning of the book when her son is two years old. He starts making messes and causing trouble around her house. Although knowing her son might drive her crazy sometimes she states “I’ll love your forever, I’ll love your for always, as long as I’m living my baby you’ll be”. This makes me remember whatever you do even though it might be bad or upsetting my mom will always love me.

The story “I Love You Forever” is somewhat of a realistic relationship between a mother and her child. It can really go anyway. A mom will do whatever she can to keep her child safe and happy. Even when the child is making a mess or being really annoying the mother still cares for her child. They will take care of you when you are down or when you have hurt yourself. In my own personal experience, the last time my mom sang for me was when I was probably two. So when the mother sings to her child every night even when he is older that part of the story doesn’t seem realistic to me. When the mom goes across town to go see her son it reminds me of when my mom comes and gets me late at night when I need her help. That’s what the story is trying to symbolize, that no matter what, your mom will always be there to help you and even when they seem upset with you they will always forgive and love you no matter what.

MM Slot A I believe that the story I Love You Forever is a realistic representation of the relationship between moms and their children. Firstly, the story is about a mother and child and how she’ll love him forever. This book gives a good example of how a mother loves her child in a sweet and funny way. Many mothers and children can relate to this book and the relationship that the mother and son have in the story. In the story, the mom loves her son even if he drives her crazy or gets into trouble. Every night the mother will sing the same song to her son when he is asleep “I’ll love you forever I’ll like you for always as long as I’m living my baby you’ll be”. Even when her son is a fully-grown man she still sings the song to him. This song indicates that she cares about her son no matter what he does or how old he is. When the mother gets sick the son cares for his mother because she was always there for him. In conclusion, the story I Love You Forever is a great book that relates to relationships between mothers and children.

JB A slot // This story is not really a realistic representation of the relationship between moms and their children, because first of all I don’t think moms would usually come into their sons room at night and sing to him well rocking him back and forth, but also because I think now a days, children and their moms don’t really express their love to each other in that way anymore its usually just a quick "I love you" or something. Also his mom never seemed to ever get mad at him when he did stuff he wasn’t supposed to do like when he ran around the house and flushed his moms watch down the toilet, if I did that now my mom would be pretty mad.

This is realistic representation of the relationships between moms and their children. In the story the mom is saying to her son ill love you forever and ill always be there for you. My mom for example cares so much for me and loves me a lot I don’t know what I would do without her. Then later on in the book it shows that her son is getting older and she still does care as much for him when he was younger and now. I am getting older ever day and my mom cares for me the same way. If even talks about how he grew older he didn’t really want to do anything with his mom which is the same reason for me.

This story “love you forever” is an excellent representation of the relationship between mother and son. It starts with the little boy being a new born baby, fresh to world and in the mothers, eye a miracle. The song she sings to him is her way to try to express to him how much she cares for him; the lyrics of the song say it all. This book is realistic in the way of a mother’s love and the strength of it, no matter what she always forgave him. Also, it is realistic in the stages the boy goes through, newborn, toddler, kid, teen, then adult. However, it is not realistic do to the fact that after a certain age a mother typically stops rocking her child. It’s a nice idea that they’re trying to get across but it is not a realistic one. Also, the mother as she ages would be feeble and less likely to be able to rock a grown man back and forth. H.R.SA slot
