Starting with smaller easier amounts of food and then working on ways for them to eat it safely

Consulting with nutritionist for the best dietary plan that will allow the client to eat comfortably. Considering plate size and positioning food on the right side only.

They may have problems coordinating swallowing if half of their muscles aren’t working as they should - will need to adapt the size and consistency of their food

Also might struggle bringing food to the mouth, and with cutting food if they aren’t aware of cutlery on their contralesional side
