I will have the students listen to my lesson where I explain a concept. I will then ask the students to think about a question for a minute then turn and talk with a partner. They are sharing their ideas and explaining their understanding to a peer. I am able to walk around and monitor the conversations. I will then pick a few students to share their thinking with the class.
