When I was in 4th grade I was baptized, conformed, and received my first holy communion on Easter Vigil, which also was my 10th birthday. It was a very special day. My parents allowed me to choose if I wanted to be Catholic, which is why I was baptized when I was 10. I I worked very hard to know and understand what the Catholic faith meant to me and to others around me when I was in the RCIA program at my parish. I look back and I believe it was the perfect time for me to officially start my faith journey and deepen my faith. It was before all the family hardships where I needed God to be present in my life.

This was one of the most amazing day of my life. It was the end of 5 years with the same friends at the same school. I was extremely happy to be moving on to my next chapter in life, going to FSHA. But it was also sad because it was the second day I was going to spend time with my whole class. I was going to leave a life behind for I new life at FSHA. I was so excited about how my life was headed. I was happy about the great times my class has shared and how far we have come. FSHA has been the best 4 years of my life and wouldn't take any of it back.

My mother, Dr. Claire O'Neill, is the person I look up to most in this world. My mother is the person whom I have always wanted to become, which is a very unusual at seventeen years old. She is a woman who works extremely hard and deserves all that she is rewarded with. She has a wonderful and healthy marriage and two children who love her with all their hearts. She can juggle being an amazing mom, wife, and owning her own businesses. I would be happy if I could be her when I am her age. She has taken all she has learned in her life to be the woman she is and has taught be the woman I want to be.

My father, Jay Close, is the best dad I could ask for. Many daughters marry men like their fathers, for me I really hope that is true. My father treats my mother with respect and pure love. He makes breakfast for my mother each morning without fail and sends flowers to my mom's office on random days with notes. He is the perfect father for a daughter who views the world in different shades of pink and is sometimes a princess. He teaches my brother what a man, I believe should be. A man who is kind, a gentleman, and respects women.

Once I heard this song on the radio a few weeks ago, I knew that this song put into words almost all of what I believe as of today. Luke Bryan's song expresses "I believe we gotta forgive and make amends", which to me is one of the most important things in this world. Everyone needs to learn to forgive those who have hurt us. "And most mama's oughta qualify for sainthood', is one of my favorite lines because my mother is a saint. Every word in the song expresses my worldview.

My group of friends is definitely the best group of friends for me. Some friends I have known since I was in elementary school, others I met freshman year, but they all have taught me how to be a true friend, how to see other's views, and listening to other opinions. My friend group is a very diverse group; race, religion, etc., but that is what makes us so unique and why we are able to understand differences. We have shaped each other's world view.

We have a group of 5 families that was created before any of the children were born. The group was started because my godfather and the father of my best friend, Savannah, were childhood friends. My mom went to chiropractic school with my godfather. All the couples entered the group at different times in their lives. We are all connected and it shows how important friends are. The adults have been friends for over 25 years. It shows me that I can have loving friendships for a long time. We spend most holidays together. We also made this party called The Friend's Dinner that we do around Christmas. My best friend, Savannah, is 9 months older than me, so we have been best friends since I was born. My brother's best friends are also kids in our group. Each one in this group, I know I can come to talk to for anything. It is nice to be able to have other adults that you trust with your life and can talk to, that are not your parents.
-The top picture is 4 out of the 5 dads cooking Thanksgiving dinner last year.
-The bottom picture is my godmother and my best friend at a graduation party.

"'None of us can control what God does,' says Sara Miles. 'But we can open our eyes and see what God is doing.' (Wind, pg.197)"
God does everything for a reason. My family has gone through some hard times a few years ago. I didn't know where God was in those moments, I kept asking God where is was and why wasn't he with our family. But God was with our family through all the downs. Even though I was mad at God, in the end it strengthened my relationship with God, as well as our family bond. God knew that as a family we cold go through anything. God and my family are guiding lights that have helped shape my worldview.

The fruit of the Spirt is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. (Epic Fail, pg.112)
The fruit of the Spirit is how God wants us to act towards others, ourselves, and Him. I shape my morals, values, opinions, actions on how others are affected. Am I being kind? Am I doing this in a loving matter? Am I being faithful to God? When I look back at myself would I like who I am? Am I supporting people who love everyone equally because we are all made in God's image? We need more love and acceptance in our world.

"Our differences matter, but ultimately, the boundaries we build between one another are but accidental fences in the endless continuum of God's grace. (Trembling Giant, pg.185)
Our differences make everyone unique and their own person. It would be very boring, and awful, if we all were the same. I love interacting with people who are different than I. Just like in my friend group, we work together because we are all different. When you are considerate and loving towards people who are different you are able to listen to their opinions and learn about them. You may even learn more about yourself. If you put up walls you won't get to know others and hear their stories.
