         <description><![CDATA[<div>*Dr. Gordon rejects traditional models of reward and punishment because they are based upon an assertion of power and foster no intrinsic motivation.<br>*Focuses on how student’s conflicts can be resolved in a way that will improve their relationships with their teacher and peers.<br><br>:: n o - l o s e&nbsp; c o n f l i c t&nbsp; r e s o l u t i o n ::<br>Step 1 – Define the Problem. &nbsp;<br>Each person tells the other one what their problem is in a way that doesn’t blame or judge the other person.&nbsp; I-Messages are the best way to do this.</div><div><br></div><div>Step 2 – Brainstorm Solutions. &nbsp;<br>Both think of as many ideas and possible solutions can.&nbsp; Just list them all now and don’t evaluate them yet. &nbsp;<br><br></div><div>Step 3 – Evaluate Solutions.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;Now both people think about which solutions might work and which won’t.&nbsp; Cross off solutions that won’t work for one or both of you.&nbsp; Test out the possible solutions by asking:&nbsp; “Any reason it might not work?”<br><br></div><div>Step 4 – Choose a Solution.&nbsp; Both need to agree on a solution or a combination of solutions.<br><br></div><div>Step 5 – Plan for and Take Action.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;Decide Who does What by When to carry out the agreed-on solution.&nbsp; It’s best to trust that both will do what they agreed instead of talking about what will happen if they don’t<br><br></div><div>Step 6 – Check Results. &nbsp;<br>Both need to agree to check back at a later time to make sure the solution worked/is working for both of you.<br><br></div>]]></description>

Alfie Kohn criticizes traditional methods of environment that involves punishment, reward and blind compliance. He thinks it will create mistrust and power struggle.&nbsp;<br><br>3. Instead, when teacher focuses to build community and involving students, students will learn self-discipline &amp; self-motivation.&nbsp;<br><br>4. The aim of this model is to create a community environment rather than blind compliance behavior that might lead to another misbehaviors.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
