A seismograph works by movement, whenever a earthquake happens it records
how strong or weak it went by.
They also use a machine called electromagnetic to write the recordings of how high it goes, or how low it goes, it works like that. If it goes up and down in a fast movement it's a big earthquake, but if it goes like in a straight line and moves a little that means it's a weak kind of earthquake, No movement means no earthquake.

Fayq Alriyashi: I learned that the Seismograph works by the ball shows how big or low it is. But when the ball moves up and down, that means there is a big earthquake but if the ball goes still like a line then that means that its not a earthquake but if it moves a little that's okay because its a small one.
