Learned traits</strong><br>Definition:<br><strong><em>- Learned behavior is behavior that occurs only after experience or practice.</em></strong></div><div>Sentence:<br><strong><em>- My mom told us that when you eat a healthy diet, that is the example of a learned trait because you learned to eat a healthy diet.</em></strong><br><br><strong>2. Inherited traits<br></strong>Definition:<br><strong><em>- Inherited traits are passed from parent to offspring according to the rules of Mendelian genetics.</em></strong><br>Sentence:<br><strong><em>- My Dad ever told me once that genes can be the common factor of the qualities of most human-inherited traits.</em></strong><br><br><strong>3. Stamen</strong><br>Definition:<br><strong><em>- A small, thin male part in the middle of a flower that produces pollen and is made up of a stalk supporting an anther. Genotype</strong><br>Definition:<br><strong><em>- The combination of genes that a particular living thing carries, some of which may not be noticed from its appearance.</em></strong><br>Sentence:<br><strong><em>- If both of my parents have dark hair, I'm likely won't have the genotype to be a blonde.<br></em></strong><br><strong>4. Phenotype</strong><br>Definition:<br><strong><em>- The set of characteristics of a living thing, resulting from its combination of genes and the effect of its environment.</em></strong><br>Sentence:<br><strong><em>- Height, wing length, and hair color are some example of phenotype.<br></em></strong><br><strong>5. Gene</strong><br>Definition:<br><strong><em>- A unit inside a cell that controls a particular quality in a living thing that has been passed on from its parents.<br></em></strong>Sentence:<strong><em><br>- My little sister inherited a good set of genes from her parents.</em></strong></div>]]></description>
