The Industrial Revolution had a big impact on the way we live today as there was a big change in the production of items. Changing from being handmade to machines doing most of the manufacturing in factories, allowing the mass production of things such as the steam engine, sewing machine, and internal combustion engine. Utilizing the assembly line, which involves an unfinished product moving along and having parts added to it until it becomes the complete product at the end. This helped the factories to become more efficient at producing the items, which helped to lower costs, improve wages, and increase the migration from rural to urban areas for work.

The first cotton mill, by Samual Slater. Many factories and mills made in the following years used the same technology.

The number of factories and migrations to the city caused horrendous living conditions for the poor, factories and people caused major pollution and diseases to spread, and in those same factories, had terrible working conditions and implored child labor as well.

The revolution was against the British imperialists, who tried to assert too much power over the large country. A famous example is the Boston Tea Party, where American militias dumped over 342 chests of black tea into the ocean. Britain's opposing force were split into two armies. The militias and the Continental national army. These forces were poorly trained and not disciplined, but their numbers, over 300 000, overwhelmed the trained force of 80 000 British troops. Many battles for land raged on, including the battle of Bunker Hill and the siege of Boston, but when the Americans won the battle for New York, the British surrendered, and retreated to their mainland.
