         <description><![CDATA[<div>1774<br>The First Continental Congress was a meeting of delegates from twelve out of the Thirteen Colonies. The whole point was to make some major decisions. One was to boycott all British goods. Another was to appoint&nbsp; Gorge Washington to commander of American defense in case of a British attack. The two sides were now on the verge of war.</div>]]></description>

They were in retaliation of the colonists' anger. Unfortunately for parliament this pushed the colonists over the edge.</div>]]></description>

Without paying for the stamp to be put on your papers, they would be rendered useless even with a signature. This angered the colonists once again because they had no say and were forced to pay for something they did't even want in their colonies. </div>]]></description>

This included housing, food, water and supplies.This obviously made the colonists very very angry. They now had to pay for the people enforcing the laws they hated, so they could live on the colonists own land and in their homes.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

This meant the colonists could not settle west where there was good soil. This angered the colonists. </div>]]></description>
