The theory states that the shroud was possible to create as Jesus had radiation throughout his body. I looked further into this videos references and lead me to think the video grasps at straws for proof. To back up the theory of radiation the video cites Matthew 17 v1-3, of the bible which reads, “After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. 2 There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. 3 Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus”. Throughout history we know people cannot turn off and on radiation for the perfect timing in which this took place, nor does anything radioactive glow. But people believe this as religion has always been a part of society. The video goes over in depth where all the body parts are and how the cloth was transferred through years. This video weighs heavily in agenticity as it is asking you to reach within yourself to truly believe in Jesus with only a piece of fabric. It portrays an appeal to authority and ideological support theory. For the appeal to authority red flag, the man talking is a pastor, in a church, touching the Shroud to verify the legitimacy of the shroud. This video uses simplicity to breakdown and reconstruct the desired view of the narrator. The red flags displayed are ideological support with a deep religious bias, confirmation bias is shown with a lot of claims bearing no evidence to support it, and ancient wisdom to have that sort of technology BC. This picture shows how similar the negative looks to the face of Jesus. But the Camera only picks up a stained fabric and our minds put that into a face. Our brains are constantly playing tricks on us; that is why you can look at a shower curtain or a floor and see a face. We piece together what we can’t comprehend into a shape we can clearly remember. This picture does that through patternicity easily forcing to the human eye to believe what it’s seeing. This subject of the Shroud has been long documented with no real understanding of its creation, this article uses forensic technologies to recreate Jesus’ bloodstain patterns. The red flag present is proof of verbosity shown when using more technical scientific words than necessary to get their point across seeming more “knowledgeable.”

This article attempts to shed some light on the authenticity of the shroud of turin and present 8 different reasons as to why it is likely the burial cloth of Jesus. This article relies heavily on the ideological support red flag as it is a Jesus “fan page”. This website says in 2013, the carbon dating showed that the Shroud was from 300BC -400AD, contrary to the second article. Yes, this is during the period Jesus was alive, but it still doesn’t explain how the bloodstains were so precise. This website shows the emotional connection and Ideological support red flags throughout the article as It relies mainly on proof from the bible rather than science.
