Requires credit reporting agencies to allow consumers to place a “freeze” on each of their credit reports to prevent opening new credit accounts in the consumers' names.

Thanks to the credit freeze act, she was able to freeze her account till she found it. Now she doesn't have to worry about someone treating themselves to an expensive dinner or shopping spree just because her card slipped away.
