(Pg. 314) This quote was thought by Percy Jackson, in Hades's Palace, on the last day for his quest. This quotation is an example of the climax. It is the highest peak of the story because Percy Jackson (son of Poseidon) had been accused of stealing Zeus's lightning bolt, and was forced to go on a quest to search for the bolt to prove his innocence. On his quest he was then approached by Ares whom had given him a backpack. The quest goes on but when Percy reaches Hades in the underworld, Hades then accuses Percy of stealing the lightning bolt. To which then percy thinks this and find the lost lightning bolt in the backpack given to him by Ares.

¨I have never seen a soul as hardened as yours.¨ Page 69
While in the interrogation room Meursault is being questioned by a magistrate. The magistrate has never interrogated someone so bluntly honest, Meursault's atheism and indifference to his mother´s death challenge the magistrate´s religious beliefs. In response, the magistrate waves a crucifix at Meursault introducing the idea that Meursault and his attitudes represent a threat to society. This is an example of conflict because Meursault´s indifference causes him to be detached from human emotions causing him to be labeled as a monster, which severely affects his court case. Meursault is interested in the physical aspects of his life more than its emotional side, making him feel alienated from himself and others. He is interested in finding meaning and finds not achieving anything tortuous. Throughout court, Meursault´s emotions and actions are being compared to why Meursault killed the Arab and shot the motionless body four more times, along with his mother´s death.

Hazel was called by Augustus in the middle of the night to help him at a gas station. Augustus's G-tube had a problem causing him to throw up everywhere in his car. With no choice left Hazel called 911 where Augustus asked her to read something. At the top of her head, Hazel read a poem by William Carlos William. This is an example of an Allusion because it is a reference to a well-known poet. It is referencing the poem 'The Red Wheelbarrow' by an American Poet William Carlos William. The quotation reflects on how well Hazel and Augustus will help each other even by just comforting.

The shop assistant says this to Lo when she is trying on a dress. Lo has to buy a dress to <del>were</del> where on the cruise she is going on. This quotation is an example of a simile because the shop assistant is comparing how Lo looks in one of the dresses she tried on to a character from The Lord of the Rings. This quotation is significant because what she wears to on the cruise matters due to her wanting to fit in with all the upper class-man.

"We can't let The Program get their hands on the pill."-page 221. In this quotation, Sloane is in a room with James, Roger, and Dallas. These four are discussing plans to keep the pill safe and away from The Program. They are protecting the pill from The Program because, if they do get the pill( which can bring back peoples memories), no one will be able to reproduce the pill. This quotation is an example of conflict because, it's telling us that Sloane's only mission is to keep the pill safe so it could be reproduced.

(page 198)

Melinda is sketching in the art room on the last day of school, learning to accept that she'd been raped. This is an example of resolution because since Melinda got raped, life has been a struggle. Melinda is reassuring herself that she must accept her sexual assault and trauma to move on. Although this may not resolve her trauma and what happened to her, it can help her cope. This quotation is significant because it can show character growth.

"Like a white pigeon in his hands, wings fluttering." (Fahrenheit 451 Pg. 34)
This is an example of symbolism because, as Montag was burning down a house with books in it, a book fell like a white pigeon in his hands and opened to a page where it read, "Time has fallen asleep in the afternoon sunshine." For a book to fall into your hands with a page opened is very lucky. The pigeon, in some cultures, represents luck and prosperity. The quote Montag read from the book must have been the "white" part of the pigeon because white represents clarity. The quote he read from the book must have also had some symbolism as well. It could have represented the meaning of life because when you sleep, time flies, but if you wake up in the afternoon, you'll be well rested. This quotation is significant because Montag must have had a clear glimpse of the meaning of life when this happened to him.
