1.	What is a model (describe this in your own words)?
2.	Why do we need models? Or how are they useful?
3.	What are some types of models you are aware of?
4.	What are some models you have used in the past?

1: A model is a representation of data, processes, or items that are presented in a smaller or easily understood manner to convey complex things easily.
2: Models are necessary because they are proofs of concept. It is easy to conceptualize a system or process, but without a model which conveys every connection within that concept, it is hard to understand the ripple effects that would be caused by what the model represents. Models also allow those who are intimately familiar with the data to easily communicate incredibly complex things to others who are not.
3: Some models I am used to are: Airplane models (lol), Lean Six Sigma models of process improvement, Intranet/sharepoint models, scientific models, CAD models, and flowcharts.
4: I am currently using the LSS model on a project at my work to improve a process, I have used organizational models to describe the climate of our command, and floor plans when I was moving and buying new furniture.
