We are all immigrants are are equal under the law of the new nation and we all have different pasts.  But as a new nation we will start a stronger nation.

This was a time and age where religion rained over all, and it was implemented in almost everything, starting from the public life to politics and governments. And by natural and moral law of equality, it most likely meant brotherhood between white men and when it said “peace and good will amongst men” it also most likely was referring to white men as back then in the main religion of America which was Christianity, white men were the only ones who had power over being able to pray, preach, and practice that religion while minorities such as women and men of colour would have to do it in secret or not in public. But they believed that spreading their religion out west would make millions happy although Christianity was practiced much more differently back then and could even be said to be more restrictive and unfair.

 It also stated, “Nation of many nations is destined to manifest to mankind the excellence of divine principles…”
which most likely meant the Americans deemed it right to claim new land as it was the will of divine principles.

The 2nd part of this is asking what kind of person can look at the past rulers of government other than a democracy and still feel like they should not show hatred toward them that they existed. And it is asking what kind of person can deeply think about the situations that past people were in and the cruelties they were in and still look at the people who did this without hatred.

O’Sullivan is in a mindset that the people are very determined to move west and nothing can stop them, whether it be nature or man. He takes sort of a reckless approach to this because he obviously would not care about taking the land away from native americans but he will not let anything get in his way.
