Last week me and my friends went on a ministry to serve people in many places, and for our personal mission we visited nursing homes and schools which were located somewhere in West Jakarta. We did the ministry to 2 places, from Monday to Friday

and for 4-5 hours, usually from 8-12.

Day 1

The first day of our ministry we visited a nursing home somewhere in Tanggerang, then we started with a morning devotion

and singing. The next activity that day we had lunch with the elders, and also a little chat with them too, after that we had a fun

little game with them and they seemed to enjoy it too, and we ended that day with a prayer, for me that was one of my bad experience in ministry because i wasn't really used to being one of the participants in service.

Day 2

The second day me and my friends went back to the nursing home, and we started the ministry with a morning devotion.

The first activity we did was a morning exercise with the Elders and we had a pretty

great time with them, after that we had lunch together and had a few games before ending our visit with a prayer, to me this visit

was really wholesome and i really enjoyed spending time with the elders.

Day 3

The Third day was a bit different than the past days because it was a new environment,

when we entered the school all of the kids we're filled with joy on their faces and they all started running towards us and was laughing and giggling, after that their teachers calmed them down and arranged them for their morning ceremony, afterwards we went on with a greetings and an introduction, after the introduction we started with playing games with them such as Simon says and guessing games, Etc.

later we went inside and all of us in the team was split in 3 to teach the kids in their own classes, after that we had our lunch and ended the day with a closing prayer in each class.

Day 4

The fourth day we arrived with tons of snacks and we started the day with a prayer and led to games in each classes, me and my partner in the class, we decided to just ask the kids questions and whoever gets a question right wins a prize.

The children was so happy with us there they were cheering and laughing and it all reminds me back in the day when i was in elementary school, laughing, giggling with friends, it was amazing me and my partner had a blast!, after that we had our lunch and ended the day with a prayer.

Day 5

The fifth day our last day in our ministry for the week, didn't even realized a week has gone by.

when we arrived we all gathered in this chapel, we settled down in our sits and opened the morning worship with a prayer led by our team, when we were singing i saw happiness and it felt like a blessing worshiping in the chapel. after the worship we went in the classes and started teaching the kids again, at the end of the day we gave goodie bags to the kids and they were so happy, then we ended the day with a prayer.

From this personal mission i learned many new things, and one thing that got in mind was responsibility, because i wasn't that responsible of my tasks while service, but besides that i had an amazing experience

i learned my lesson of not being responsible

because of me, me and my team was scolded by the manager of the nursing home

because i was just sitting around doing nothing, but it all was worth it because i learned my lesson and i will try to fix my self and improve in the future.
