Easy to give and redeem points. I do dojo day each Thursday so kids have the chance to use them weekly. Younger kids need more often rewards I feel like. I like having the freedom to do class level prizes and make them myself.

I have used Dojo in the past and for some reason this year it just doesn't seem to be a motivator. They will say they are excited but then will not do things that gain them points.

Many students are turning in points, but then not requesting the reward (not using the HW pass, or asking for lunch with a classmate, etc). I often have to remind, and even then they do not use them.

It sometimes feels like a lot to keep track- who gets what reward and when it should be given and fitting it into classes without taking up too much time.

There is so much extra work with giving prizes all the time and adjusting points. I am spending way too much time working outside of my contracted hours doing anything Dojo and PBIS related.

Students should not be rewarded for doing what they are supposed to do in the first place. They should be only rewarded for going above and beyond what is expected of them.

Not all kids log in all the time! I would rather do a whole class thing that they can see... like puff balls in a jar. Only do individual behavior if and when needed. I am not big on rewarding for expected behaviors.

Some of my students are holding out on points because they want the physical prizes from the school (at least I think..) so they are not cashing in for my classroom rewards. I am having a hard time finding fun, new prizes for the virtual setting.

The different levels of rewards are almost too much, especially for our youngest kiddos. They're not understanding classroom, vs grade level, vs whole school and aren't yet ready to manage how to save/spend points for all the different rewards. They'd be content/better understand if it was just one monthly reward instead of all the different levels.

The ding is turned off on some classrooms, so not all students hear that rewarding "ding" sound. So I just remember to turn my sound off for that tab. That way it seems fair and no students feel like they were missed because they didn't hear the "ding"

Some of my students get distracted and constantly ask if they can play games (usually during class time). I have that feature turned off.

Some families had trouble getting connected, and a lot of time/effort was spent on something that's not of the most importance (vs. homework/tests/etc.)

More "all grade" rewards. The students LOVED having a movie day and they love most things when classes get together.

Monthly is a lot! Whole grade level is a lot. It just seems like reward after reward and then inevitably the the excitement will fade because it will just be routine.

I want to give points more specifically than just 4 bees. This would REALLY help motivation. Kids last year were doing more when they new they got points for specific things. The Quarterly grade level reward implementation was choppy. It was the first time so I think a learning curve here but I would like to see more freedom to the grade level as to when the reward was given and how many points it cost. It felt micro managed when we had already discussed and worked it out. How is semester school store working? Where are we turning in kids spent and on what? Please do not wait until the last minute to give us information like the quarterly award was. This would be helpful to teachers.

It is hard to keep track of rewards, what they picked, did you cash out their points or not, when did you implement the reward, etc. Also, it seems like I am finishing giving rewards and have to turn around and create new monthly rewards again. Plus we have the quarterly rewards on top of that. Then we will be adding in the school store soon..

I feel that there are too many "levels" of rewards. I think keeping it simple would be easier for kids and teachers and parents to all conceptualize. For example, only doing the monthly rewards. Or only doing the school store. I do get the idea behind the variation, but it is a lot.

My kids get logged out often and ask during class for the code. I wish they could stay logged in similarly to other programs.

There is no real challenge in earning rewards. The amount of points for the grade level incentive made it so that every kid could participate which made it not as special.

I think there are too many rewards- individual rewards, whole class rewards, grade-lever rewards, mid-year rewards- it's a lot to keep track of and to comprehend for the younger learners.

I think that with sharing the system some teachers on the account are changing settings and it should be a group decision/or school decision. Also being able to add different things that they get points for specifically. I think that helps the kids know exactly what they are doing to get the points.

I don't love the point value we all have to use. I don't understand why some bees are worth more than others. I'd prefer if all positives were just 1 point.

teachers should be able to give points out for specific things and not just the 4 bees. Kids are missing out on not knowing exactly what they did to get points. Also some things should be worth 1 point. Not just 2 and 4. Please give teachers the autonomy to do what is best for our class with how many points and what to get points for.

Time. Never enough. Time is needed daily to give points. At the end of the month, time is needed to set up point rewards. (make seesaw, assign seesaw) Time is needed to address the rewards each month, at least briefly in class. (make and show slides) And the hardest part is tracking kids to be sure they get the various rewards each month. Certain rewards take a lot of time, for example if lunch is offered, more of my "free" time is used. But trying to keep track of all rewards for all students is tough.

The points should be more specific. I find myself often times only giving out "Beeing Responsible" rewards because the rest are not applicable often.

The students earning the most points are the students who don't need outside motivators to do a good job and the students who are not earning as many points/rewards are the ones who really need encouragement but not many of them are motivated even with so many options for rewards.

I would strongly suggest setting a limit for the school store. My kiddoes are really holding out and keep saving their points each month and I am afraid they will bankrupt the school by buying so many items from the store! (LOL- joking but I have a feeling my kids are going to be able to buy a lot)

Too many rewards. Students need to be rewarded/praised daily, but using "points" this often is difficult and time consuming. "Shout outs" or similar probably motivate most kids as well as this complex point system.

I feel the time commitment is the biggest challenge. It takes a lot of time to add the points during class time. It also takes a lot of time to check Seesaw, to cash in the points and update dojo after, remembering who cashed in points, and finding the time in class to do some of the rewards is challenging too. There are a lot of different prize levels that get confusing. Dojo seems to motivate some kids, but for others it does not seem to help with desired behaviors.

I'm not sure if Student of the Month is included in this survey, but I don't like it. No matter how I try, I end up rewarding the same kids that will get recognized year after year. I think positive phone calls or in class simple recognition, more often is more effective in the long run.

I think we need to lessen the number of cash in times. I think just sticking to one type would be best. I feel quarterly could be a better frequency option and could be an excitement builder and goal for each quarter. Teachers could choose on their own if they want to do more frequent cash ins. I think that the app needs to be more single sign on friendly for them in classlink. It seems after some time it logs them out of the saved page. Some kids do not know their points amount and do not cash in points ever due to this I feel.
