1.) What are the major influences on first impressions and explain why first impressions often become lasting ones.
Answer: Major influences on first impressions are self-fulfilling, social schemas, personal disclosure, and stereotyping (Nevid, 2012 , p.488). First impressions often become lasting ones because most people judge or stereotype someone as they are when they first meet them. Social schemas are one of the main reasons leaving people with a mental representation in there head and them remembering and just focusing on what happen when they first met the person which can be positive and negative. Which from the video gives good examples of that ( National Geographic, 2015).

2.) Identify factors that influence attraction and why you think these factors create the influence they do.
Answer: The factors that influence attraction are reciprocity, similarity, physical attractiveness, and proximity (Nevid, 2012 , p.496). I feel as if all these factors relate to which one would look for in being attractive to someone or something. One would be fond to someone that is similar to them and it would be easy for them to get to know each other, physical attractiveness is a big role because most of the tie if someone I not attractive to someone from there looks they wouldn't want to engage in them anyway, reciprocity also is one too for someone to feel appreciated or loved back can easily attract someone, and proximity is key too because there are many patterns that are involved in friendships.
